“It was totally unacceptable that a hotel and restaurant booked weeks in advance of our proposed arrival date sent a message to say that the restaurant would not be open and also that there would be no hotel reception one day after the free cancellation date had passed. We believe this at best was bad professional practice or at worst fraudulent by ensuring that fees were taken.
