Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsI payed 345 for 4 nights (for me alone) But I had no personal toilet. And the commun toilet upstairs for women could not close, and was a bit crappy, the lock was broken. It was a little too expensive. If there would have been a dormroom for only women I would have taken that. But they only have mixed dormrooms. I have had some not too great experiences with mixed dormrooms so I had to take the expensive option to feel safe.
Staff was really nice. Also really nice that they have an open kitchen and room where we could always stay. This makes it easier to chill a bit and also meet other people. Nice thoutch that there is a bar and restaurant as well ! These parts were really good

United KingdomShowers aren’t the biggest, beds aren’t the most comfy from light gaps to general tough mattress and no option to change bedding if staying more than a few days. General house rules for guests needs improved and enforced loud guests from kids to adults was daily and at all hours.
Staff are exceptional! The food is exceptional! The location is ideal and general size of property is nice.

Right next to nature, what more could you want. Very close to Châtel bike park, ride up gently slope was worth the effort. Love the burgers 😁 Bike storage was 100 safe Chatel bike park was a surreal experience.

United KingdomThe communal living room/TV room was a bit tired but we were out all day so not a problem for us as we didn't use it. The bar area downstairs is great to relax in.
Friendly and clean hostel in a beautiful part of the french Alpes. Easy to get onto hiking and biking trails - head up to lac Vert if you can! A nice bar and burger van for a bite to eat in the evenings. Very friendly staff who gave us lots of tips on what to do.

United KingdomBooking.com included this in a search for Morzine, our intended destination, showing it as 11 km away. Well strictly it is - but there is a mountain in the way. An hour further on alpine passes in the dark was not really what we needed at the end of a long day driving. Not the fault of the hostel, but check your searches in this area. If you are not in the correct valley they may be much further away than the straight line distance...
Nice atmosphere, friendly and clean and decent value. One member of staff helpfully left us a key for a late check in, when we were delayed - I hope we didn't wake the other guests! The breakfast the following morning was reasonable value for a family. A nice setting, worth exploring further.

United KingdomIt's the nature of a shared dormitory in a youth hostel, and sometimes you get lucky with the respect and courtesy of your fellow hostelers and sometimes you don't. Unfortunately on two of the 3 nights that my daughter and I stayed, we were not so lucky. Lights coming on at all hours, doors opening and closing all evening, children running around the hostel. It's part of it, I get it, You take your chances and its actually part of hostelling, I'm not moaning, but lights that automatically turn off if they are left on by inconsiderate or forgetful guests, and soft closing doors may be a minor solution. Loved my stay all the same x thank you
Atmosphere, ambiance, staff, price, bar, food, packed lunch option. Fellow guests sharing food such as coffee, salt and cooking oil in the self catering kitchen, wonderful gestures of kind human nature. Loved it.

United KingdomHaving to go home
Breakfast was nice (only had it on our first morning), but because it is a hostel with kitchen facilities we brought food for our stay and cooked . However the kids and I did have the burgers on the first night for dinner and then insisted on them for our last night too! Good Burgers! It was also nice because I was traveling with the kids (12 and 14) I could have a beer at the end of the day in the bar and they could hang out , play games or even start getting food ready . It was a great place to stay as family.

GermanyThe pictures and description of the accommodation do not correspond to reality. The smell of moisture and mold was very unpleasant. Large, indefinable stains on the mattress. You have to strip your bed yourself and it is quite disgusting to discover what you have slept on.

Hostel was amazing, clean rooms and toilet/washing facilities. Great bar with a great selection of drinks. The two best bits of the whole stay were the brilliant, friendly staff and the amazing food, a burger van making delicious fresh food for a reasonable price! Would definitley stay again.

United KingdomVery poor wifi. Noise from other guests. Booked a double deluxe room which was claimed on booking.com to have a private bathroom - this was not accurate. It had a shower and sink but no toilet. I had to use a communal toilet.

United KingdomWe stayed in a 4 bed dorm room as a family of 4 for one night, which was beside the road, it was pretty noisy. And with the window shut the room smelt of oil. We didn’t use the shower in our room because it leaked out of the tray and into the room, so we used the shared shower but the door didn’t lock. Also the shower wasn’t very good, so I couldn’t wash my daughters thick wavy hair. I wouldn’t have minded all this but the website made the hostel look quite different and it was not good value for money for the standard of the room.
Great location, friendly staff. Lovely bar and dining area for chilling out in. Great burgers from the van! Bedding was nice and clean. Good shared kitchen facilities.
