NetherlandsLast years we've been in L'Aigle d'Or several times before and everytime it even seems better. Nice spacious room with big bed, perfect breakfast and great meals and wine. Service is very friendly. Nice garden to relax, beautifull surroundings for wanderers.

BelgiumThe rooms ( at least ours) are not that large but pretty well equipped with very modern and clean bathroom and toilet. One remark we had ( we informed the owner about it ) is that the carpet needed some cleaning as it had an unpleasant odour. I have to add that during our stay it was pretty hot these days, close to 30 degrees. The restaurant is also open for non hotel guests and is full most of the days. As a guest it is a pretty busy (but tasty) evening. We stayed for 5 nights but 4 would have been the beter choice.
Great place for a relaxing stay. The hotel is located in a very calm village and has a very extensive garden where you han relax after a firm hike. Drinks are available all day. The restaurant is a real great restaurant and has a fixed menu. That makes it less suitable to stay more than 4 days as you may end up with the same dish again. But there are some nice brasseries nearby too. The hotel is ideal to stay when wanting to visit le Grand Ballon. Parking space in the immediate neighbourhood.

PortugalWe loved everything. Perhaps would have appreciated a water boiler for tea and coffee maker in the room, but we ordered from the bar and it worked well. So actually we did loke everything.
The staff, the beautiful garden and most of all, the fantastic restaurant with marvellous food and wine. The surroundings are also very beautiful. Clean, comfortable room with great view of the garden. We loved everything!

United KingdomBeautiful location. Modern chalet style reception area and lovely comfortable room and bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed and very peaceful. I ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional! The manager kindly allowed my dog into the restaurant whilst I ate my meal. Definitely a place to return to with more time to explore the area and to properly enjoy this hotel.

AustraliaWe visited this hotel roughly 4 years ago from Australia, just when the couple took over the family business. Our stay then was fantastic, in particular the restaurant. As it was so good it was essential to add to our 12-day family hike with our adult kids through the Alsace to enjoy again. On arrival, we were extremely impressed at the level of investment and upgrades to the overall facility and rooms. We were welcomed at the door, cold drinks in the courtyard and impressive, modern and spacious rooms. In the 4 years since our last visit, the restaurant continues to develop and improve its craft, we wish we could dine here every week. Everything was excellent value, and in fact the lowest overall cost of the stay for a night across the 12 days. We will come back again, maybe cycling next time. Thank you for hosting us for an amazing stay.

Comfortable two room apartment, perfect for traveling with a child. Beautiful garden to enjoy a drink in the sun, surrounded by views of the hills. A great restaurant. They were very accommodating as we asked for some food for our small child before the official opening time of the restaurant. Relatively close to eguisheim, which is definitely worth a visit if you have a few hours to spare. Overall, a really nice place to have a stop on the way to Italy.

SwitzerlandThe room was not very big for two people, but then, who would spend a warm summer day in their room, when there's a beautiful park and terrace outside?
The hotel is situated in a quiet village. From the hotel's park, you look straight into wooded hills. The room and the hotel were very clean. The restaurant and lounge area show a stylish modern design. Breakfast was excellent. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and well-presented. Modern cuisine at it's best!
