Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryWe had a major issue with one member of staff relating to the car park. I had reserved a space and had received a message from the hotel in advance warning that cars with low ground clearance may not be able to get into the car park. I appreciated this heads up. My car is reasonably low so to avoid a problem (which I’ve experienced in other car parks) I decided to reverse into the car park as this avoids the potential issue of low clearance with the front spoiler when the car reaches then end of the steep ramp into the actual car park. Unbeknownst to me as I was reversing in, one of the staff members of the hotel, was literally shouting at my wife about the fact I was reversing down the ramp. Whether I reverse down the ramp or drive in forward has no consequences for anyone other than me. When I had parked my car and gone to our room I found my wife was in tears as a consequence of the verbal assault she’d been subjected to by this particular member of staff. I went to reception to calmly point out the consequences of this staff member’s behaviour. The gentleman on reception listened to my complaint and simply asked me ‘what do you want me to do?’. I then actually spoke to the female member of staff who’d shouted at my wife but received no apology, but similar aggression. There was no acknowledgment that the reason I’d reversed down the ramp was because the hotel had warned me in advance that the entrance to the car park was steep and could mean low sitting cars may have access problems. I then asked to speak to the manager but unfortunately he didn’t speak much English and I didn’t speak enough French to be able to have a direct conversation about the issue, namely a member of his staff had shouted aggressively at my wife for absolutely no good reason. The manager actually asked the member of staff I was complaining about to explain what had gone on. She did so in French, no doubt just her version of events. Appalling service.
Nice, large modern room.

United KingdomWe had to return unexpectedly when our ferry was cancelled. Despite explaining our situation we were given a smaller room for the same rate with no breakfast ( we were leaving early to catch a ferry so would miss breakfast) There was one coffee pod (2 cups), shower gel empty, no kettle , noisy fridge, poor air conditioning, stained carpet.
We stayed here two nights. The first night was good with a nice breakfast.

GermanyWe have made a reservation in this hotel because of the the good reviews it had. Unfortunately we haven’t had a good experience, indeed quite a bad one. When we arrived around 8PM we’ve checked in and got the room, which when we had opened the door was not cleaned and made at all. Clearly noone was there since the previous guests checked out. Upon returning to the reception we were assigned a new room, supposedly the same as the one we have reserved(superior). Only, that it wasn’t. It had the same layout but the room was for people with accessibility issues (wheel chairs). That means there were no shower walls, no shower holder, no shelves, nothing. And it did not stop here. There was hair in the drain, the tiles in the bathroom were dirty (marks of spit toothpaste and other who knows what kind of dirt marks). The floor in the room was dirty, clearly no vacuuming or mopping at all! The worst in all these that when the reception was made aware and we have requested another room, they only said „sorry, we are fully booked“. And repeat only this, no solution or intent for compensation. Bad hotel management should not be the problem of guest who pay for the rooms. Not recommended!

ItalyThe room had a fitted kitchen including a microwave. But no kettle or cups were available, as Reception said "..the hotel no longer operates as an apartment hotel". We were given 2 disposable cups to heat water in the microwave. Reception staff made no effort to offer any information on Bastia and surrounds. When asked, they knew nothing about public transport to the Centre, saying probably no bus, we would need to take our car. We later saw a bus drive right past the front door of the hotel. Reception staff should now such basic information.

BelgiumNot the cleanest rooms. We had to switch one because it has not been properly cleaned - there was even no soap. Breakfast is a total disappointment. Very dirty plates, dishes, cups etc. No variety of food - most is either a sugarbomb or a not-so-healthy snack. We have pre-booked a charger in the parking, but when we arrived, both places were occupied and hotel staff couldn't explain why or ask those guests to move their cars, because of our reservation.
The view is very nice. The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Bastia.

GermanyThe breakfast was poor and the staff did not necessarily switch to English to communicate faster and clearly. The room was not cleaned every day, although a ''clean my room'' sign was placed in front of the door. The swimming pool facilities were not satisfactory and the elevator from the side of our room was out of order during our stay resulting in walking to the other end of the hotel to get the lift and reach the garage. The room's light switches were working and others would activate the electricity to charge a device. Quite weird. Also, the whole room structure was uncomfortable to stay at. Although a room (on the ground floor) with a sea view was booked, it was not the case. There was a view of the sea, but not worth paying more for that. The photos on the hotel's profile are misleading since the photos of the sea are taken from the balcony on the second floor where breakfast is served.
The location was okay since the hotel was 10 minutes on foot from the city center.

EstoniaThe way the hotel is managed seems a bit strange to me. Our room happened to have nice kitchen. Ok, it was not mentioned in the description, so not surprised that it wasn't fully equipped with pots and pans etc, but they didn't even have glasses, something you are usually provided even at a 2-star hotel going for half the price of this place. When I went to the reception to ask for glasses, they told me "their boss won't allow" to give glasses to the guests (even though the bar right next to the reception had plenty)... eventually, they agreed to give me two paper cups, but that's not exactly sustainable nor nice to drink out of. On our third night in Bastia, I unfortunately managed to take a bad fall on the pavement and had some bleeding wounds on my hands. Since there were no taxis available and clinics within walking distance were closed, we went to the hotel to ask for their first aid kit. The guy at the reception had no idea where or if they had a first aid kit and couldn't help. The morning shift DID manage to find some kind of first aid kit, but it was smaller and worse equipped than what you would find in a car. Corsica is still the EU after all, so I'm quite shocked that a hotel of this size wouldn't have a decent first-aid kit nor even inform their staff of where to find the meager supplies that do exist. I'm sure this violates a regulation or three.
The hotel seemed brand new and modern. Our room was very spacious, the bed comfortable and the AC very efficient.

SloveniaYou have to pay extra for parking which is in the garage below the hotel. When we arrived parking was full so we have to squeeze the car in the middle of the garage but still making enough room for others to get out of their parking spot. Also bathroom is very very very small and TV on the wall is in a strange position not suitable for watching it from the bed-next to the window and blinds from the window are partially covering the TV. considering the size of the room not sure why to put it there 🙃
