Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only thing I could say against it was the bathroom often had a bad smell from the pipes. We just ran the tap and shower for a minute or two and this helped.
Great location and value for money. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room is small but it had everything we needed and the bathroom was big with a great shower.

BulgariaI didn't like the noise and the bed was not very comfortable - and of those double beds made from two mattresses connected with a fabric. This one was not in great shape.
The location is great - just outside the Old port. The view exceptional. However that comes with a price - a lot of noise from the heavy street traffic. I couldn't sleep with an open window.

MaltaThe only thing that we didn't like was that they don't fill the toiletries.
The staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. I asked for a little note for my partner as she had her birthday, and they went an extra mile for me as they also did flowers and made us towel decorations as swans! Thank you a lot!

Belgiumroom - we were given room that faced backyard where your window is basically facing the wall which is like 2 m ahead of you, that was really unexpected bad surprised, the room was much smaller then I expected and also though we were a top floor-4th floor, we could not open the window to air because there was a terrible smell coming into the room from the outside, the ventilator I found too noisy to sleep (but I sleep with ear plugs so I could do) no elevator from ground floor - there is no elevator from ground floor to the reception. that was really annoying with the luggage. on the way back the receptionist helped me to bring the luggage down so that was nice.
location - of the hotel is perfect, the waterfront of the hold harbour, breakfast - was excellent, for a french hotel really big variety and tasty fresh food staff - was very nice and helpful we also arrived earlier then they admit to the room the staff kept our luggage and even called us when the room was ready for us.

PolandStaff in places could not cope with the crowd during breakfast. There was something missing all the time, like not bread, but cold cuts/cheese. If there are too many people at one time, consider dividing the breakfast into time slots, maybe that will help. "The window to the courtyard" is unfortunately a window to the other wall of the building, through which a very limited amount of light enters.
Very good location of the facility! Everywhere close:) good quality WiFi, rooms not large but spacious and equipped with all the necessary items (there are even contoured pillows for better sleep). Przemysl and helpful staff. Highly recommend!

United StatesRooms were small- no place to put your luggage. Also, stairs were on the dangerous side but I realize it’s an old building.
The staff was amazing!!! In lieu of giving us directions, they actually walked us to places twice- I’ve never had that type of service before.

United StatesThe name on the building "Hotel Alize" is a little confusing because it's different from the name of the hotel & the entrance to the hotel was a little hard to find and as you'd expect with historic buildings in Europe, you do have to deal with a few stairs when you arrive with your luggage. FYI: For those of us used to McDonalds & Burger King offering breakfast, the two near the hotel don't but there are lots of other better places to enjoy crepes & other great food within walking distance.
Nadia at the front desk was amazing. She was willing to literally give me the shirt off her back just so I'd be warm/comfortable! She ran downstairs to help me with the luggage & totally helped with the taxis & was honest about our options. You can't beat the location of the hotel. There were lots of options for great eateries within walking distance.

United KingdomThe flights of steep stairs should be on the description. It would not have put us off; but would be a problem if one's mobility was restricted. Staff were strong!
Fantastic location & view. Breakfast great. Staff most helpful & friendly 100m from metro station. Large bed, tiny room but effective - described as a cocoon Literally hundreds of restaurants close Central, so one could walk almost everywhere in the city Good emphasis on environmental operation Just over 3 hours from Paris

United StatesStairs is sth that has to be more clearly described before the booking happens. Also, €2 for one coffee from the machine when the cost for the room for 1 person 1 night is €135 - it could have been granted, I think.
The staff is superb! Also it was very clean and I slept comfortable, which is the main thing. Located right in front of the Old Port.
