Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesAbsolutely nothing - everything was perfect!
Historic, clean, beautifully decorated, unbelievable views! The Hosts, Greg & Sofi, were so welcoming and genuine … you could feel their warmth & honest joy in what they do! Incredible homemade meals by Greg & delicious deserts by Sofi! The whole town of Puycelci is a step back into medieval Europe without all the cheap junk shops - beautiful, peaceful & fantastic views all around.

AustraliaThere is a lovely rug in our bedroom which was a little slippery and may need to be taped down.
My daughter and I were greeted by friendly staff, very warm and welcoming. We particularly enjoyed a little house tour and the staff's enthusiasm for the premises and it's history provided by Emma. The food was absolutely delicious. Simple, fresh and sophisticated in it's simplicity. A beautiful building. We enjoyed knowing the owners were fellow Australians.

AndorraThey only offered a very basic continental breakfast and there was no pool or onsite free parking as such.
We went just to do an overnighter in the area as we were attending an event nearby. What I was surprised about was the location! It is one of the most beautiful small hill top towns I have ever stayed in in France. Wonderful views from the town over stunning countryside and lovely period properties. there was also a couple of well positioned restaurants there to eat out or just have a drink and soak up the atmosphere. Our room was very spacious ,very traditional with a well equipped spacious bathroom.

AustraliaNothing - enjoyed eveything
This beautiful auberge was definitely the highlight of our trip. Situated in the most stunning bastide town. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners Sophie and Greg and we had the good fortune to experience wonderful evening meals cooked by Greg. The overall experience was amazing and I would have no hesitation at all in recommending L’Ancienne Auberge to all our friends.

United KingdomWe had no complaints at all and hope to return at some point in the future.
Everything about l'Ancienne Auberge was superb: its location in a beautiful village, the comfort factor, the character of the building and above all, the delightful famiy running this establishment who give guests such a lovely welcome. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Greg and his wife, Sophie run the hotel, with help from their daughter when she's home from her university studies. Greg is the chef and Sophie made the delicious desserts. All the meals we had were excellent and we enjoyed them in a pretty, flower-filled private courtyard for guests.

FranceWe have absolutely no complaints.
The L'Ancienne Auberge was a lovely place in the centre of the beautiful little town of Puicelsi. Sophie and Greg were perfect hosts with delightful personalities. They made us feel welcome and were very accommodating when we arrived with our electric bikes. Our room was spacious, clean and had a breathtaking view of the surrounding valley. Greg was a fantastic chef and we very much enjoyed our meals there as well as the whole experience staying at the L'Ancienne Auberge!

New ZealandBeing centrally located, there is likely to be noise outside, and the outlook is limited. But the negatives are negligible if you like characterful destinations.
Great location in the centre of this delightful hill-top town (don't be put off by the hourly chimes!). The building itself is full of character and history, and our host made us extremely welcome. The rooms were large, comfortable and interesting - no two the same. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the demi-pension arrangment was very good value. Parking was easy, but we were out of the main season.
