Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Amazingly friendly stuff on reception! Nice location not 15 minutes away from the train/bus station, not far from the city center. Everything required is available in your room or upon request. Spacious balcony.

very basic room, getting into the car park was a nightmare! very difficult to find, and not really very logical how to get in - once into the car park, the next door closes, locking you in - if you don't have a mobile phone to call reception to ask for help, you will sleep in your car!

Because parts of the property are student accommodation it sometimes felt a bit "regulated". Swimming pool disappointingly small.
Helpfulness of staff. Spotlessly clean rooms, brilliantly designed to offer maximum storage and convenience. Good bedlinen. Balconies.

Walk away from train/bus station. Comfortable bed. Kitchenette with stove top & microwave so we could organise our own food. Grocery store a block away. Staff on hand 24/7 & all very friendly and helpful.

Unnecessary charges for everything including cleaning which should be included in the price and customers should not be expected to clean out the bins in the room etc. Unnecessary €200 deposit charged and makes one feel humiliating as there seems to be no faith and trust in the customers. Swimming pool is extremely small and cannot accommodate more than 2 people really! A huge family of about 7 people joined us and more people followed while we were in the pool and we had to get out after 5 minutes in the pool and we never went back to the pool again! Reception does not even have a first aid kit! I required a bandaid for a blister on my foot and the reception said they did not have one! This felt extremely weird!
Location as it is in a secluded and safe (residential) area.

we booked this hotel because it was saying there was parking and breakfast since we were traveling and just there for the night. we arrived about 5pm and there were no parking available. the next morning we went to get breakfast and they said it was already full. there was a total of 6 people at breakfast. one of the workers from the kitchen even said there was plenty of food.

I went with my family and it was very hot, we stay in the room with no air condition in any of the room, plus we didn’t have enough fan to go round….All the children developed heat rash all over their body…… The receptionist was very rude And unwilling to help. They have no tolerance Welcoming English speaker Guest.
it beautiful and location is good to access other areas and shopping centre is close by.

Buyer Beware - there is NO Air Conditioning. It was incredibly hot & uncomfortable. Finding parking was stressful. There are signs in the room they will charge you if you use the dishes & do not wash the dishes, i.e. carry dishwashing soap with you...
The pool was in good condition.

Room was basic, very small towel (hand and not for a shower!). Broken fan, lift was broken most of the stay.
Breakfast was very good despite being expensive. Great location, access to transport and shops/restaurants.

The room was dirty. The boiler had still coffee inside. The mattress was uncomfortable. The cradle for the baby lacked a mattress. WI-fi not working

It was far too hot in the room even with fans. it made it hard to sleep.
