We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Denmark“Keep your luggage at all time safely locked and secured against theft. A very unpleasant insecure experience and stay, caused by outburst of anger from the male staff in charge of reception. Keep your luggage at all time safely locked and secured against theft. The front desk is never occupied by anyone at all and everybody can enter the hotel from the main street unnoticed. When leaving the hotel I accepted the hotel’s offer for luggage storage in a separate room for a few hours. Expected a safe storage, but was extremely disappointed. During luggage storage my bags were opened and everything of value was stolen, including even clothing. Having realized that, I returned later to the hotel and informed the manager that several items had been stolen. I told the manager that future guest could benefit from knowing that luggage storage on the hotel is not monitored, and therefor unsecure. Customers can then decide whether to use luggage storage as an option. In my opinion a review on booking.com could helpful. The manager in no way agreed with my assessment and suggestion. The situation resulted in an immediate unprovoked and very unpleasant outburst of anger by the manager. He refused the fact that anything have stolen and pushed me very violently out of the hotel’s dark back yard, and hit me very hard with his fit in the back of my head and chased me down the streets until I escape among other tourists. I was shocked. Will of course recommend going anywhere else. Vraiment je ne recommande pas. Nous ne reviendrons jamais dans cet hotel.”
