Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe first night we were given room with one bed instead of 2 which was unacceptable. No elevator available to get your luggage from lobby to first floor.

FranceThe fact that it was 36 degrees and the aircon could not been switched on! We were there for the nights of 20 and 21 June but we were told “The aircon will be switched on 1 July”! Staff were understanding and provided a fan but they couldn’t turn on the aircon!
It’s location could not be better. Every need of the guest had been considered in the room.

United KingdomFacilities listed include air conditioning. However, the hotel had introduced a policy of no air conditioning until 1st July. This is obviously part of their environment policy for which they have won awards. A better policy would be to link it to an ambient temperature. It was 30 degrees when we visited and all we were given was a fan. The temperature in the room was excessive and dangerous, particularly for people with underlying health conditions. I live with type 1 diabetes and I was unable to regulate my body temperature and blood sugar requiring additional insulin through the night. I would never have booked a room without the option of air conditioning.
Clean room with an excellent shower. Well situated in the old port and good continental breakfast.

BelgiumStaff not friendly or helpful. Phone in room not working, so in order to contact reception we had to get up and get dressed and go downstairs. Aircon/heating impossible to regulate; room unbearably hot, thus very bad night's sleep. We asked twice for the temperature in the room to be reduced and were assured that the necessary steps would be taken, but nothing, nothing ... Entrance to hotel tired-looking and dingy. Bad smell in bathroom. Massively over-priced. We were very disappointed.

United StatesI was traveling with a female friend. We had a wonderful view of the port, as requested. The bathroom was very modern and very clean, we also had plenty of towels. We each had two pillows, the bed was comfortable. And we really liked the bar which has a tiny balcony, with tables and chairs, and it overlooks the port. Very quaint and just what we were looking for. The hotel is right in the heart of restaurants and shopping. We walked (25 minutes) over to Notre Dame which is on a very, very high hill. You can see it from all over the city. Beautiful inside, and worth the walk.

IrelandThe menu didn't smell the best. We worked our way through a variety of dishes over the course of the stay. Most of which appeared to have been cooked in dirty oil
Hotel was jn a good location. Unfortunately the room wasn't. The extractor for the kitchen was right below the window. Disgusting smell through the room and even in the hall outside
