Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe front door, a bit hard to open/close and therefore a bit noisy.
Nice spacious room on the ground floor, with private toilet and double bed. Some tea bags freely available in the room. Cute welcome present and water bottles for guests. Easy check-in and free parking in front of the house. I would recommend the flat for its high value for money and would stay again.

ItalyThe walls are super thin, so you hear everything. Instead of one double mattress it was two single ones, placed next to each others. The area didn't seem super safe, even if it's 10 mins walking form the city center.
The room was super cheap, and it was clean and tidy. They offer a capsule for the coffee machine, and there are snacks that you can buy in the livingroom. The istructions to enter were clear and there's alot of parking space around.

United KingdomA terrace was in the deal, but we couldn't access it due to the mosquito net place by the door.
Parking was good and the flat comfy. I liked the fan which was on for our arrival as it was very warm. Good communication and instructions were given by the host.

United StatesNo air conditioning or fans, front door doesn't close without being slammed (waking everyone), faucet in the room dripped loudly all night despite trying to shut it off.
Great location at end of dead end street close to town, so no traffic noise. Very spacious room, cold fridge with freezer, good dark out blinds. Handy key system.

GermanyDepending on the other guests you share the apartment with it can be a bit noisy. As everywhere mutual respect and attentiveness is helpful :)
It was everything there what is needed and quite close to the center. The common room provides tourist information leaflets and maps of Avignon and you can even buy small refreshments. Very kind host!

NorwayStay here, and stay away from Studio entre le Pont d'Avignon et le Palais de Papes. The owners of Studio entre le Pont d'Avignon et le Palais de Papes, Stephanie and Jeremy (or Booking.com), have deleted my booking (without refunding me) and taken away my possibiity of giving feedbak on their (lack) of service. At Chambres d'hotes Avignon you get what you pay for, a clean, simple, reasonable and welcoming environment. I booked this place last minute the same day because the owners of Studio entre le Pont d'Avignon et le Palais de Papes demanded that I pay a last minute security deposit of 350 euros to be paid to a private link. When I explained that I couldn't do that (becasue it's against booking.com advice and I had no way of knowing that it would be returned to me) the owners refused me entrance to the apartment that I had paid for and furthermore refused to refund me. Stephanie and Jeremy at Studio entre le Pont d'Avignon et le Palais de Papes cannot be trusted and you risk being treated in a volatile manner, disrespectfully and be made to pay for a service that you're then denied access to. You book it at your own risk because Booking.com will not help you. They didn't help me, and I've waisted 66 euros and a lot of time and energy on nothing. I've never experienced such an awful service and lack of accountability. Unless Booking.com find a way to help or reimburse me I will do my best to stop using their services and I advise everyone else to do the same. And for sure: next time I go to Avignon I will stay at Chambres d'hotes Avignon and not at Studio entre le Pont d'Avignon et le Palais de Papes!

SwitzerlandThe place is very cute and well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, a nice living room... It is 10 min walk from the walls and I did walk everywhere. The area seemed to be very safe. There is a supermarket within 10 minutes walk and the train station Avignon Centre was approx. 20 min walk. My room was just like a hotel room: beautifully decorated and I had chocolate on my pillow on arrival :) The host was very easy to reach and seemed very nice. Thank you!

SpainIt takes around 35 minutes to get to the Papal Palace on foot, and the train station at around 25 minutes, but it's fine because there are several other interesting places to see along the way.
The house is located in a quiet neighbourhood. It actually made me feel like I was resident in the city. The house has probably got everything that guests needed (or at least in my case). Lastly, the room looked nice and clean, and I had access to the balcony.
