Internet not working in our room and it wasn’t fixed during our two night stay. On a positive side, the hotel didn’t charge for a car parking as a compensation for not working internet.

The lift is very old and it was working at times. We are young persons but for persons with more age, to go upstairs to the last floor I can imagine it can be annoying. The airco in the room was an old manual devide hanging on the wall and it was not possible to regulate the temperature or turn it off. The 2 nights we were there at the beginning of August month I was sleeping covered with the bedsheets because of this.

The location is super close to the city centre and a very special place. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was perfect. They even use products from L'Occitane brand in the bathroom. The have a watercooker in case you want to drink a tea. We have had dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. The best tomato mozzarella salad ever eaten. The tomatoes were super tasty and the dressing was delicious. The breakfast is very good and extensive, even soy and almond milk and gluten free bread for the celiacs. A very good range of tea flavours from the brand Comptoirs Richard.

My room in particular showed severe signs of needed renovation. This type building is not easy to renovate, but in particular the bathroom in the room unstated in needs some care taking

The plug in the shower didn’t work and the tub kept filling with water even after I removed the plug. Daily service didn’t replace toilet paper and ran out. No power point in close proximity to the bed. I use a CPAP machine to breathe when asleep and needs to be plugged in. I had to sleep on the couch to be close to a power point.

In two different rooms, the shower doors did not fit properly and the air conditioners were damaged. We reported the problem with the shower doors, causing wet slippery tile floors, but over ten days, they were not fixed. Paper cups not so attractive for hot drinks in this standard of hotel. Small details, easy to fix. A room check by the housekeeper would note these details before clients arrive.

Delightfully cool, spacious high ceiling old building, a cool refuge when hot. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast in the Cloister garden. Lifts to room, lovely small rooftop swimming pool, but a few umbrellas scattered amongst the beds around pool for shade would have been welcome. Loved the very central location, near transport facilities, tourism bureau, restaurants, museums shops. Would recommend hotel to friends.

The lighting in the room especially the bathroom not great and the shower was very awkward and didn't go in the wall holder. Apart from these two things our stay was lovely.

Lovely building and staff. No space left in the car park on arrival but the gentleman in reception was very helpful and found us a space .

Unfortunatley we had booked a room in the extension which was disappointing.. The room was very dark and the entrance light didn't work. The blinds in the balcony wouldn't fully open and the drawers in the bedroom were broken. The extraction fan for the toilet and the bathroom didn't work either.in future we would try to get a room in the main building. One afternoon we visited the swimming pool and were unable to swim because of four unsupervised children who had taken one the pool and were running and jumping in.

We loved the old bit of the building and the plane trees in the courtyard. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a delicious dinner sitting outside in the courtyard.

Poolside bar missing which meant drinks arrived hot (in summer), shower curtain missing so water ran all over the bathroom, noisy doors, gap in the mattress, dogs allowed in pool area and restaurant.

The rooms are dark and for some strange reason the internal doors in the room ( between the bathroom/toilet and the bedroom) are equipped with automatic door closers ( unnecessary and unpractical). The toilet is so small that the door doesn't close when in use. Al these are mistakes by the architect who did the renovation of the building. Unfortunately. Can easily be remedied by rearranging the rooms and also making the balconies more attractive.

We have to walk through the church and walk up to the room with the round staircase. If you have kids or big bag. Not very comfortable. The room is big enough for two.

The service at the restaurant for dinner and the pool bar

Beautiful historic hotel. It is so well renovated and combines the very old with the new with esthetic. Clean an central located. The roof top pool is also a major bonus. The service at breakfast and at the reception is polite and good. The service in the restaurant for dinner an drinks unfortunately draws the experience down…
