Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. The beds were super comfy. The room was spotless and very quiet despite overlooking the road. The location was ideal, so close to good cafes, restaurants and the old town and harbour. We would definitely come to Hotel St Nicolas again.

Very nice staff at check-in and check-out and when we went for breakfast. The room was very nice and we got one with a balcony which we had asked for. Car parking was private and secure. Hotel was close to nice amenities and restaurants.

United KingdomMy room was in the eves and I hit my head numerous times…. Suggest you rearrange the room and stick up some hazard tape.Lighting in corridors is hopeless - difficult to see where to apply the card key. Shower wouldn’t drain properly. I paid twice 1) via booking.com and 2) at reception (very poor admin). My dinner order in the bar was forgotten about until I chased it up. Howling husky in the bar, noisy child and a loud English woman.
Great city centre location. Secure bicycle storage in own car park. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff who all speak good English.

SpainNot a fan of the bathroom set up (isn't a separate room) and the price of the hotel reflects the resort rather than the standard of the hotel room which is functional.
Very centrally located but not noisy and the parking is a godsend as the car is definitely not prioritised here. The place has a young vibe and the room is well decorated. The breakfast options were plentiful.

CanadaSomewhat overpriced for facilities offered - plus up sell at check in, offered 30 Euros for a balcony room, only wanted a king size bed room which I had thought we had booked - still charged us the 30 Euros on check out. Corridor to room decor somewhat dark and grim!
Hotel location good, had on site parking, excellent gin and tonic at bar once we obtained service, however, it was not included in the welcome drink offered by the reception desk! We were allowed to keep our car until 2 pm in the parking area past the 11 am check out. First time of asking were told to remove to outside paid parking lot some distance away!

United KingdomThe Sat Nav took us to the road where hotel is but it was “no entry!” It took us several attempts to find the hotel on the one way system, other guests had the same problem. The teas in the room were Earl Grey & Camomile & therefore both scented, a breakfast tea would have been preferable but was not available.
The breakfast was not included in the price which was unexpected. However the choice was exceptional and duration was very accommodating. Very helpful staff who took much pride in their work. The bed was extremely comfortable, shower was easy to use. Toiletry & other accessories were excellent. Thank goodness there was air con as very warm outside, even at night.

United KingdomThe parking seems much tighter than on previous visits and on departure 3 different guests had difficulty getting into our cars as the carpark was full and the spaces are far too close together. Also, in our room the water from the shower was not emptying due to clogged up hair. Fortunately my husband was able to take the drain cover off and remove the hair. Whoever cleaned the room must have seen that the shower tray wasn’t draining.
This was our 3rd visit. We love the location and the available secure parking underneath. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the facilities are more than adequate for a one night stay.

United KingdomThe hotel was advertised with parking (which is why we had booked this one) but when we arrived we were advised the car park is full and we were given a map of other car parks in the area. We had to spend an additional 35 minutes looking for parking, and pay an additional €17.50 for car parking which was about half a mile from the hotel. This started our trip out on a frustrating start. If you are looking for a hotel in the area, that actually provides parking - try the ibis down the street which is cheaper and actually provides parking🙏🏽
I liked this hotel a lot - it had amazing and clean rooms. Had everything required and has been one of the better hotels I have stayed at. However had to give 6 star rating due to lack of parking. Hotel is advised with parking, which is why we had booked this hotel, however when we arrived we were told by the staff on the front desk that the parking was full and given a map of the area with parking. We had to pay an additional €17.50 for overnight parking elsewhere.

JerseyEven with functioning SatNav, the hotel was very difficult to get to, because of the one-way traffic system. The hotel needs to ensure that all drivers are given detailed directions to approach the property.
