Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe room is small, there is not enough space to open your luggage on the floor.
Good breakfast in the morning. Cozy room. The manager are really friendly and prepared the breakfast for us early at the morning by our request.

United KingdomIt wasn't that hot outdoors (mid-20s in the evening), but the room was noticeably hotter well into the night. It wasn't really feasible to open the windows, which would have let in the street lighting and the noise of relatively light traffic and people passing a few metres away. The little fan on the mantelpiece didn't cool the air but rather noisily recycled it, so perhaps it could be replaced by a stronger, air-cooling fan. This was a relatively minor inconvenience in an otherwise lovely stay.
A warm welcome and great hospitality.

Belgiumnot that it is a problem for me (I sleep with earplugs since years) but as it’s an elder house with elder door, the rooms are thus not really sound-proof.
very charming property, big rooms, modern bathrooms, amazingly friendly staff - basically everything is nice about this property.

SwitzerlandThe hotel had a lot of character and special features. The hosts were extremely friendly. It's not in the center but transportation options are close by. Bakeries and cafés are within a short distance. We will stay here again.

PortugalIn general it was all perfect despite the "cleanning" of the bathtub. Also the sheets weren't ironed.
The Room was super original and the staff very attentive! They allowed us to check in earlier than it was supposed (for us that was perfect because of our luggage!) Excelent quality-price relation ;)

United KingdomSo glad we booked in advance because Felix Dort was fully booked the night we arrived. It's a large, old-fashioned house with 6 ensuite guest bedrooms, about 15 minutes walk from Lyon Part Dieu station. We received a mobile phone message in English before arrival confirming property access details. Room Lugdunum (Roman name for Lyon) was a good size, with twin beds and we both slept very well (don't worry, they have electric bedside lamps, not the decorative candles in the photo!). Good ensuite shower, w.c. and washbasin, but the shower cubicle was a bit small for Mr (he is over 6ft tall). Good continental breakfast choices included in the price, and as requested we made our choices of breakfast food, drinks, and timing on the sheet of paper offered on arrival. Each room received its choices of breakfast, on large separate trays, to individual tables in the breakfast room/conservatory, at the time requested (what a sensible system!). Friendly, helpful staff speak French and English. Paid on arrival with my UK card. We like to choose small hotels and guest houses, and it's been difficult for them during the pandemic, so we wish Felix Dort well.

FranceThe room decoration was weird, in particular those marionettes.. creepy. And there was a high pitch noise coming from a wall, a fan or something like that.
The staff was very friendly. They were also flexible with the check-in checkout

United KingdomNo air con,, I appreciate it is a very old building but,, the fan in the room was not suitable for the heat and had to be placed in open window to get cold air to flow through. Not ideal on ground floor, even though in locked gate environment. I would rethink the fan, as it leaked condensation onto the wood floor!😬
Host was lovely, really helpful. Room was clean and there was a nice selection of breakfast items.

United KingdomThe room was sooooo hot during the night. There were Mosquitos. I had to open the window for a while to let some air in, but it was so loud on the street. I only managed about 2 hrs sleep all night. There was also a mark on the sheets. The location isn’t great, it looks a bit dodgy and didn’t feel that safe.
The staff were nice once I eventually found them the following day.

AustriaWe had two double/twin rooms, one had a really very small toilet and in addition a small shower. Both could be renewed. The place is an old house/villa, simple facilities, all could benefit of a renovation. I chose based on the high review scores but it did not meet our expectations.
Communication was quick. Breakfast was simple but fine. It was quiet during the night.
