Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

smell of cigarettes smoke. Bunk bed did not feel solid going up/down.

Place was nice, only issue I have was our rooms have no toilet. So some inconvenience, having to go toilet 3 or 4 times at night. So, in a way, was slightly disappointed.

Lack of place to properly do laundry & dry washed clothes. We had shared bathroom with 2 single frosted showers. showers needed space leave or hang toiletries etc No heating but we understand the high cost of fuel currently.
Large room with 2 comfortable beds Beautiful old floor boards & stair case. Well equipped kitchen. Simple but filling breakfast. Good supply of warm water for bath & sink

You have to pay extra for bed sheets. It should be included in the service, especially at these prices. You also have to share a bathroom. Finally, too many whatsap messages from the property in my opinion. The gentleman host was very friendly, (we met him on site)but I found the lady quite curt and snappy(only via phone and messages).
It had a lot of character although the decoration was not finished yet. Also not too far from the city centre.

The beds were quite old and the rooms were poorly isolated, so we heard every movement from the hallway or neighbouring rooms so I recommend bringing earplugs.
It is a basic clean hostel with adequate facilities for an overnight stay. The shower was hot and had plenty of (shared) toilets and showers. The owners were nice and got clear instructions related to the check in.

Room was chilly and all roommates were male. Noisy kids filled other rooms.
It was a basic hostel. I never saw the staff, though my bed was labeled and ready on arrival.

great position - through the town near route of Camino - perfectly ample kitchen to cook if need be - bed in a room for 4 was comfortable- room for rucksack - I had the linen - brilliant treat for first night - coffee and breakfast bits were simple but more than enough - shower was hot - staff were brilliant- so lovely and helpful.

It was quirky but I wasn't sure how clean it was. There was a nasty mat outside the shower which was horrible to stand on.

arrival was strange, as there was no one to greet us or show us where things were. the owner, Chris, met us briefly at 7PM or so, and then disappeared completely and never returned. the wifi had gone out, and we could not find him to have it fixed.

One more about the location - it's at a junction of 2 roads. Since the weather was hot we had to keep the windows open and the road noise took some getting used to. As we continue along the Camino this is not unusual but since this was our first night, we were not used to it yet. Be prepared with earplugs.
The gite was very convenient to restaurants, shops, and the start of the Camino. The hosts were very responsive and everything was exactly as expected. The breakfast was good. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

Only one toilet per floor so had to wait a long time to use in the morning. Top floor toilet was quickest option.
