Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

There was nothing to dislike.
The gîte was spacious and very well appointed. The owners were very friendly and very helpful. The location is quiet and there is outdoor space for picnic abd parking. I thoroughly recommend this place if you are looking for accommodation in this area.

Accommodation very nice and spacious, clean and comfy .Excellent for our travel through to the Dordogne. Also nice and quiet, with a pleasant walk near by for the dog.

location wasn't great. Really quiet town but if that's what you're looking for then perfect
really helpful hosts and a lovely property. Closest train station to Paris is Aubrais which was a 30 minute drive but once there it's a 1 hour journey to Paris. I went out on a few bike rides while i was there and really enjoyed the countryside.. flat but great for some speed. Property was spacious and really clean. The shutters kept it nice and cool also which was welcome with outside temps well above 30

It was exceptionally hot, so the room was quiet warm till late.

Very nice host, attentive furniture and accessories in the gite. Beer, wine and drinks in the fridge plus coffee capsules for the morning ( against a reasonable charge).

The host met us at the property to hand over keys and explain facilities. Also advised on a good restaurant for the evening meal and on walking areas nearby. The house was large with everything you would want. Bathroom was excellent. Off street parking a bonus

the gite was perfect, spacious, clean, quiet and had everything we needed. outdoor terrace and pingpong table, we parked the car even in the courtyard. possibility for a nice walk along little canals in the area.

This Gite was amazing! Beautifully decorated with everything you could need. Eric was so hospitable on arrival & departure, showing us around the Gite & telling us where to visit. Such a lovely quiet village, We could have stayed here for a week. My boys loved playing table tennis outside which was a nice activity to have. We can't wait to return.

There are no words to explain how fabulous and wonderful this house is. Best choice for romantic couples and for families either. Extremely clean. The furniture, enterieur, design is super stylish, modern and romantic. Spacious, very comfortable. Matrasses and befsheets are high quality. Silence, shutters on all windows, (so absolut darkness) garantee perfect sleeping. Free parking, good wifi, table tennis, barbecue terrasse. Fully equipped kitchen! Really! All stuff and machines you can imagine for cooking and dining. Owner Eric is very kind, helpful, speaks English. Knows all informaton about the region Loire Valley and many castles and also have guidebooks and maps.
