The staff was very helpful in answering any questions and booking reservations for us. The location was perfect to walk in town and many other sites. We loved our balcony with the water and views of Mt. Blanc. The breakfast buffet was excellent with many choices.

I really liked the first room we stayed in. it had a balcony with views of the river and the mountains. We weren’t as lucky the second time. bigger room but not the same ambiance.

We liked the Hotel de L’Arve so much that we actually stayed there at both the beginning and the end of our stay in the area. It has a great location. The staff are so accommodating about storing extra luggage while doing the TMB. There is safe, free parking. The breakfast choices are great. The lady that runs the breakfast is so kind and welcoming. This was a great place to stay. It’s older, small town European hotel. Rick Steves had his tour group stay there so it has his stamp of approval too.

Always good for few days stay in Chamonix! Location is perfect, all in walking distance and has free parking space. Great breakfast and afternoon coffee/tea time with homemade cakes! Can really be recommended!

Bike tires needed more air.

Good location, welcoming staff and comfortable room. They also have sauna you can book to help sore muscles after hikes, and bicycles you can borrow. Only stayed one night and liked it for that.

At first the hotel seemed a bit shabby (and the numbering system for the rooms was so confusing - what's THAT about?) but when we got to the rooms they were very spacious. The location was great - right by the river, an easy walk to train, bus and downtown sights without being noisy. They had a fabulous breakfast and an area to sit and eat outside with river sounds and Mont Blanc views. And best of all was the staff - then bent over backwards to assist us with many odd requests. On our first morning, a few of us got up at 5AM and sat outside with our campstove to make coffee, when the night clerk came outside and offered us some fresh croissants and coffee!

The amazing Mont Blanc mountain range and river views from the sliding door onto the veranda and from the window opposite the bed. Listening to the river rushing by, lulling us to sleep at night. Waking up in the morning and sitting outside on the veranda and enjoying the view and the setting. Then heading downstairs for an abundant spread of freshly baked and cooked breakfast items. Easy access to all Chamonix has to offer - no need for a car.

The cleaning ladies could have been more careful while tiding up (they broke my mobile charger).

The hotel is well situated next to the main road and next to the river. We loved the breakfast and the tea - time every afternoon when we could enjoy our free tea/coffee with handmade specialities in the hotel yard in front of the river and the Alpine tops!

The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was nice although nothing special. When I first arrived the lady on the reception wasnt particularly friendly or helpful. Bit later on the man who took over was very kind and helpful
