A beautiful, ancient property, oozing ambience. The owner was an absolute delight the food delicious. The location is a great half way stop over between Calais and the south of France. We will definitely return

Be aware that some of the rooms are approached by a narrow set of outside steps, which might be a challenge for the less than active, especially when wet.

A quirky, characterful old building, located next door to an old Abbey with a long history (religion, prison, art galleryetc.) which is well worth exploring. Think more upmarket Chambre d'hote than boutique hotel. Buildings and furnishings are all delightful old antiques. Excellent evening meal and a very good breakfast.

Some more pillowslip the bed would have been nice.

A beautiful unique hotel set in a very old grand house. We dined in the hotel's restaurant & the meal was hands down the best meal we've had on this trip. absolutely delicious!

Expensive by comparison with other comparable properties recently stayed in. No shower gel or shampoo in bathroom - the only property in recent experience not to provide toiletries. No wifi in our room. Access to bedrooms would be difficult for those with mobility issues.

Atmospheric, historic, comfortable and warm on a damp, miserable day. Location in lovely village. Comfy bed. Excellent (albeit expensive) evening meal, beautifully cooked. Good breakfast.

Limited parking. Fairly remote area if you are not already passing by.

Very characterful property, excellent location for breaking a long journey through NE France on the A31. Extremely personable service in both hotel and restaurant. Excellent local produce and wine at dinner. A great stay!

What a place to stay! Unique accommodation which we really loved. Very comfortable (although the shower was a bit of a squeeze). Super evening meals in the neighbouring restaurant and good breakfasts too. The village and the neighbouring abbey are well worth discovering during your stay.

The only negative was the comfort of the beds. The beds were really hard and I woke up with uncomfortable backache. Beds are always a matter of personal preference so this might not be the experience of all of the guests.

It’s all great - quirky but great.

This is a haven of peace and solitude despite only being about 20 mins from the motorway. The welcome is so nice. Dinner was excellent and breakfast a pleasure.

The pillows!

An amazing restored abbey residence with cultural kudos in bucolic tranquility! The host Roman, was very accommodating and polite, helpful and friendly despite being so very busy! The room was lovely. The only issue was the pillows which were not great.

The place is fantastic an authentic petit village, and it is as if you are sleeping in a castle with beautiful artefacts from ancient era. The personell super friendly and very helpful. the food was fantastic compliments to the cook!

The menu could change a bit more during the week

Everything was great! Especially the hospitality of Romain and Anne-Maria hard warming. You feld immediately at home, in the beautiful Auberge and incredible nature. To have total silence in the woods is overwhelming. We wish Anne-Maria and Romain all the best in the future, don’t change anything as Romain rightly stated 🙏

Beautifully restored historic property in a beautiful hidden corner of France. With a great restaurant as a bonus. Made a great overnight stop on a long journey.

The only disappointment was the fact that to charge the electric car we where directed to the charging station in the village center as there was no charging station at the hotel. I feel this should be stated in advance by booking.com as this plays a large role in the planning of a journey by electric car.
