Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThey gave me a room other than what I saw in Booking. There was no natural light. The ventilation/air conditioning didn't work. I was then given a fan. There was lot of noise due to walking of the neighbours and smell from the kitchen below. Wi-Fi speed is not good. I felt scammed and cheated

GreeceThe location of the hotel is excellent for a first time visitor. There are nearby bus stops and metro, you have even in walkable distance two of the must see sights (louvre and the opera) and very close to Monmarte. The neiborhood feels safe and is full of shops (pharmacy, baker, restaurants/bars, supermarket etc). The hotel staff are always ready to help you and present. The breakfast has everything you need to start your day properly, but if you dont book it you still have options around the corner. We didnt speak the language but the majority of people was very helpful at all times, everywhere. The hotel is value for money and you will enjoy your days in Paris. A tip for a first time visitor is to take a taxi from airport (CDG) to hotel, it takes at least a train and a bus to get there with all your luggage. Unless you're on a budget, take a taxi.

CanadaThe cleaning personnel were inside the bedroom with outdoor shoes, not very tidy. Upon arrival, a cigaret smell was noticeable, we had to vent a little bit. Also, one of the bathroom towel was on the floor upon arrival. Not very nice, but we could also pick up a new one in no time.
The location, the flexibility for dropping/collecting luggage or for checking in. Also, the sound insulation was great.

United StatesThe rooms do not look NEARLY as nice in person, and they are a little rundown and sad. The pictures are not accurate in terms of what to expect. The lights in my parents room never worked properly at all. Also, my parents room wasn't ready when we arrived, which was a bit of a pain since we'd had an overnight flight.
The location is pretty great, you are near-ish to Sacre Coeur Basilica, like a nice 15 minute walk, there are lots of cafes around. The desk staff was v nice.

United States1. Heating was completely broken through the entire stay and it was cold in the room. it was way more comfortable in the lobby than in the room and the most disappointing thing in this case - the hotel staff was completely useless and ignorant (like, “it’s the same thing in the entire hotel, what do you want from us?!“ 2. The tourist who wasn’t cheated is not a real tourist! Prev. stays the staff was weary helpful in ordering taxi to the airport (it’s €53 flat fee). This time the guy from the lobby “helped” us and ordered something (probably someone from his friends) that cost us €70 instead (and we were notified about that upon arrival to CDG only). It wasn’t a real taxi. Unfortunately, we had no time to figure that out as we were rushing to the airport. That’s called fraud.
We stayed in this hotel for a third time in a row. it’s very conveniently located. All the prev. stays were good, except this one.

United Kingdomproblems when checking in. clerk said it was fully booked and she will have to find me a room - this is after I booked weeks in advance and fully paid. I checked in at 3.30 - 1.5 hours after normal check in time - my room should have already been allocated. When she eventually found a room - she mentioned it is in a different part of the building and serviced by a lift up to the 5th floor and then we have to walk to the 6th floor to access the room. She pointed us in the direction of the lift - which was way down the corridor ,needless to say we could not find it at first. Once found - the lift was a tiny cubicle where only 1 person could fit in. it was very shoddy and claustrophobic. we decided against taking this lift. we then tried the stairs which was even worse. I returned to desk and requested another room in the main part of the building - lo and behold - the clerk found a room immediately. Needless to say, I was quite angry but vented my feelings in a very measured way. my wife and I are both over 60 - the clerk should have taken cognisance of this before she asked asked us to walk up to our room. the other room, once allocated was superb. you cannot tell a client that has already booked and paid that the hotel is fully booked. absurd.
breakfast was very good. Room location was good.
