Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, there was a night where the fire alarm kept going off and about 10/15 people had to wait ages for a new room key around 2am and the staff that was on just didn’t seem to care and wasn’t very prompt sorting all of these issues out. A room key takes around 30 seconds to do so I don’t understand why she was talking so long and refusing to help people.
The hotel design was really beautiful and the rooms were modern but comfortable also.

United KingdomRoom was extremely basic, no kettle or drink making facilities, no draws or safe storage. Window also swings open completely with no safety features on fourth floor (worth noting in case of small children).
Very convenient location. Two metro stations within a few minutes walk. Central Paris a 20 minute metro ride away.

The cleaning was nice.

United StatesThe building is really ugly, a scar on Paris. The facility look a little old. The restaurant terrace has a net to prevent birds flying in with holes in it and stuff had been thrown on it (I removed the liter from the net — so it wasn’t difficult for the staff to have done it), the deck is warped and has cigarette butts in between. Looks uncared for.
Great location. Ugly building. Very small rooms.

AustraliaRats!! Outside the hotel there were hundreds of rats running around. The air-conditioning in the room was not very effective. The staff were rude about the luggage storage. Also annoying that you need to pay 5 euro to store your luggage.
Nice room and attentive housekeeping. Good location right near metro. Also easy to walk to the Eiffel tower.

United StatesThe rooms were VERY small. I could barely fit in the shower comfortably and I am 5'2". The hair dryer is not a normal hair dryer - it's attached to the wall and you cannot control the temperature or the power. It was really hard to fit inside the bathroom and dry my hair with it. The air conditioning barely works - it was set to 5 degrees Celsius and the room was exceptionally warm every night. It was also quite noisy - one night there was a fight on the street and every other night I was awoken by people slamming their doors.
The restaurant staff was friendly; our guest room was clean and tidy; and the location was really close to the metro and Eiffel Tower

United KingdomFire alarm went off in the middle of the night and no staff understood what was going on. It took the bar manager to come out and inform us all that it was a false alarm, otherwise we'd have been standing outside for hours.

United Arab EmiratesRooms are much too small, hotel is too expensive for the service it provides. Hotels was packed and only has 3 elevators, going up to my room on the 6th floor took ages as it was constantly busy. The lobby is always overcrowded and one has to queue for a while to speak to hotel staff. The rooms are the smallest I have ever seen and not comfy at all (no kettle, no fridge, no coffee only soap). Much too expensive for the provided service, I really do no advise you to stay here. Fire alarm went out twice in a row one night at 2 am, hotel staff did not explain what was going on and did not provide any type of compensation.
The only good thing is the location.

United StatesFirst and foremost is Booking.com's unwillingness to help us with the incorrect number of days that the room were booked. I called as soon as I realized my mistake. My CONTRACT states I would be able to change this, but after two calls I was told to deal with the Hotel. The hotel ignored my request. I have been charged for one additional night stay in this disastrous establishment. I asked for a change at the Hotel and was told that only Booking.com could address this. I no longer know who to believe. I have written all of these issues out for my credit card company and I am asking them to help me get my appropriate refund ASAP.
We were in a room that registered 93 degrees Fahrenheit. After a second night requested a room change. To get this measure we used an app. Complained to the manager who assured us this was a problem because of the heat. Finally was placed in a new room where the air conditioning was working, but the shower leaked flooding the bathroom and the bedroom. Again, I spoke to the manager and he stated to me that he placed my request foe fixing the leak on a priority call to the technician. It was never addressed, and we had to go to another room of our families to bath.
