Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Paint the cement ceiling in bedroom. Offer pictures of each dinner menu options. Record pre deposit & credit as transactions on invoice. Provide more coffee sachets in room and milk for tea.
Modern decor throughout - but rather odd cement ceiling in bedroom. Pleasant restaurant and tasty food. Breakfast selection was very good.

Nice hotel, easy to reach. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were good. Funny is that the appearance of the restaurant (4-stars, lots of wines and the menu) does not match the appearance of the guests (sneakers, cell phones)… Based on a 1 night stop-over stay.

Booked for 3 adults, given only a double bed and small uncomfortable single.
Pretty and spacious hotel and grounds with good restaurant and easy parking. Convenient stopover location on way to Alps and handy for visiting wine region.

The bath is slippery to get in and out.
Beautiful room in the old building, it costs a little bit more but it's worth it. The room is old-french styled. The room is large. The diner was very good, prices were good. The personal is very friendly and they try to help everywhere they can.

The very stylish decoration and the unbelievably friendly staff. There was also a misunderstanding about the amount charged (in part due to myself) but with a smile the lady in charge very graciously rectified this to my benefit! I call this TOP SEVICE!

I needed a place to stop over for the night when traveling from The Netherlands to the South of France, and this hotel had everything I needed for that purpose. Restaurant on site is an added bonus – the food is delicious!

Beautiful property with amazing decoration throughout, very clean and comfortable rooms. Great breakfast included, great location for us as using for an overnight break while driving to the alps. Staff were brilliant and friendly.

I always take a picher of house red wine with my evening meal. Last time, I complained that it tasted a little 'corked'. On this occasion it tasted the same. I can't imagine that it would be the same bottle, but for a house red wine, I think they could provide something better. At eight pounds fifty for a 500 ml picher, i would expect something more tasty or at least a choice for the same price.
Breakfast was the usual high standard, albeit reduced to just sausage and scrambled eggs on this occasion. I was in room (001). This had a wet room, i.e. no bath. I didn't ask for this but was quite pleased with what there was. Anyone who particularly wanted a bath would have to say so. The room was exceptionally clean, the drinks making facility good and the room was warm and the bed very comfortable.
