Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was a smell throughout the property, the bed was uncomfortable and creaked whenever you moved. The window also didn’t shut properly.
The location was good as it was close to the motorway and the town centre. The breakfast was very nice and lots on offer.

United KingdomThis is a horrible, filthy hotel in a horrible location. Hotel is in a very poor state once you leave the reception area. I have attached pictures of all the concerns. The stairs are DANGEROUS! There isn’t a lift available so you have to use the stairs. The carpets throughout are dirty and worn. On the Booking.com site, pictures of the rooms show drink making facilities. This is not so! Since Covid the staff have said these have been removed and you can only get coffee if you buy it. If this hotel is worried about Covid, maybe they should look at their shower screens in the rooms. These, if swabbed will show far worse germs I’m sure! Light in bathroom did not work. Reception guy came to see it, shook it and it came on. His solution then was to leave it on all night! The back of the TV on the wall was DANGEROUS. The pillows were dreadful, although the bed itself was clean & comfortable. The main switch for the main room light was so close to the pillow that it came on at 5am as pillow must have touched it. That was rough when you’ve travelled 350 miles and got 200 more to do the next day. The area in which the hotel is situated is an industrial estate! it has locked gates with a code to get in! That says a lot in itself. I feel the money we paid of €101 for 1 night was an absolute ripoff. If you value your health DO NOT stay here. There is also no where to eat apart from walking across main roads in the industrial estate.
The limited contact we had with staff was ok. Bed comfy. Breakfast ok.

United KingdomBedrooms were very tired looking, and in need of a makeover. Bathroom door had paint peeling off. Carpets scruffy and dirty in corridors and up the stairs. Bedroom walls so thin that you could hear everything in the next room and even other rooms down the corridor!
Breakfast was good, good selection of everything. Beds were very comfortable.

FranceDangerously worn stair carpets, accident waiting to happen. Bathroom door didn’t fit, very difficult to close, impossible to close quietly. Toilet flushing was too weak. One bed had no bedroom table, a table installed at an angle made it difficult to get to the bathroom without putting light on.

GermanyI wasnt aware that no staff was available after 2300, so check in was not easy as I had to wake a poor woman from her sleep to get my key. My room smelled so strongly of cologne and cigarettes and the noise from outside made it hard to sleep. The cologne smell was unbearable but I felt too bad to request a new room so late in the night The room wasnt dirty exactly, but there were red and brown stains on the bathroom walls and the bedding smelled of smoke. There were hairs in the bathroom and on the bed. I normally book cheaper rooms to travel, so dated rooms aren't an issue with me but this was the worst I've encountered. I would have rather slept in my car
The front desk staff at checkout (and during my early morning check-in) were wonderful.

NetherlandsBe carefull when booking. The room shown on the pictures are misleading and not what you get. No coffee or tea available and no water cooker. Room is dirty overal with mold on the walls. The bathroom was also a disaster. We didn't even make use of the shower or bath because it was just nasty and not hygienic. The light button was dangerous with no cap. Also no lock on the door. Also it is so noisy. We could hear the TV loud and clear in the room from our neighbour's 2 doors down. A lot of noise in the hallways during the evening and night. Just a terrible hotel experience overall. Thank God it was only for 1 night. This hotel is more like a 1 or 2 star.
The bed was OK.
