Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWe had a miscommunication and were sent a door code we could not access without wifi. We don't carry a phone with data so checkin was quite frustrating. Our room was cold as the staff did not turn on our heater.
The morning staff were wonderful and provided a lovely breakfast and a grand tour of the huge garden on the property.

GreeceWe have done a reservation of 3 double twin bed rooms if it is possible as we are a group of friends. They gave us 3 rooms the 2 double rooms with twin beds and one triple room (from the hotel as maybe there was no other double room) . The triple room had a double bed and a single bed. We used the double bed and the single bed . The owner charged us 25€ because we used the bed . This is unacceptable. We requested to cancel the charge but the owner answered that we had to be charged as we used the bed. No where we have been there was such a treatment. Be careful don't touch any extra bed in your room because you will be charged ......
The place was nice and the hotel as planned

IrelandUnfortunately everything about our stay has been overshadowed by us paying double for our stay. There was an issue with the card payment and we paid by cash. It transpired that the card payment went through and after several emails to notify the hotel we have heard nothing. Great place to stay but the lack of communication and cooperation to resolve the matter has been atrocious.

United KingdomNot applicable- we thought it was excellent value for the four of us. Not a place to stay if you want an anonymous, clinical hotel room.
As a family of 4 with 2 adult children, we were pleasantly surprised to find our room was two large rooms with an interconnecting door and ensuite bathroom - the shower was very modern with fantastic water pressure. Breakfast was simple, with excellent coffee, beautiful fresh bread and a selection of homemade jams. One morning Fabian made us crepes for breakfast. Breakfast was served in their conservatory overlooking the garden. This brings us me to both of our hosts who were welcoming, hospitable and interesting. We loved staying in this property learning about its history and I love the way they maintined the many beautiful features of the house yet sympathetically bringing it into the 21st century. A place to stay if you want to experience French hospitality and accommodation with personality. We would love to stay again and explore this region of France some more.

New ZealandThe host was reproachful that we had arrived a little before the check in time of 5 pm, did not introduce himself (we still don't know what his name was) or shake our hands! Our room which was dim, cluttered and cramped and while advertised as having 'a city view' was right beside the front door, had a single window looking onto the pavement and a medical test facility. If this is not appealing to potential guests they should certainly ask for a room on a higher floor. The room was advertised at 28 sq m but this included the bathroom and we feel this was misleading. We did not need the heating on and turned it off so as not to be wasteful but we were reproached (again) by the host on check out for having left a light on in our bedroom when we had gone for a walk. Although the double bed was comfortable we considered that for the price of the room a queen bed would have been a minimal expectation and the pillows were uncomfortably hard. Unfortunately we could hear guests in the room above us and their use of their bathroom! Breakfast, while pleasant, was minimal.
The shower was of high quality, recently installed with extra features and the bed was comfortable. The room had an interesting collection of French antique furniture and other objects. The breakfast conservatory was bright and welcoming with an attractive view of the garden which contained a charming and friendly dog. We enjoyed the French toast and hot chocolate.

SwitzerlandThe location of this hostel is not ideal; the surrounding area feels somewhat dirty and a bit unsafe. The host seems to run this place out of necessity rather than passion. While he makes an effort to engage in conversation, his manner can be abrasive, often resorting to sarcasm and lacking basic social graces. For instance, we were reprimanded for not properly closing the front door and an inner door that requires a code to open. These doors are entirely manual, with no springs or automatic mechanisms, so they need to be closed with care. While we understand the importance of this, the way we were approached about it was far from professional. On another occasion, we were questioned about our daughter crying the night before, when it was actually our older son. The way this was brought up felt judgmental and lacked tact. Additionally, the host was frequently heard roaming the hallways, we overheard him cursing on several occasions. The night before our departure, I tried to inform him that we would be leaving at 4 am but couldn’t find him anywhere on a few occasions. When we eventually left quietly, carrying our children to the car, we noticed him standing in the dark near the breakfast room, muttering something we couldn’t quite hear. The overall experience left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
The two-room setup is excellent for families, providing plenty of space for the kids to move around. The decor is pleasant, though some elements feel a bit outdated. The bathroom is spacious and well-maintained, which was a plus. However, the noise from the occupants above was a significant drawback—the floors creak, and every step can be heard, making it difficult to relax as they stay up late. At 150 euros for two rooms, the rate offers reasonable value. The breakfast, which I would rate 5/10, was fairly basic and lacked any fresh fruit, though it did exceed my initial expectations.

AndorraThe breakfast! The house was 100metres from a bakers but we were given stale bread and not a croissant in sight! We had to ask them to toast the bread to make it passable. We were also offered some day old cake which was very unattractive as they had scraped off what i think was a meringue topping. That was it.The garden is totally overgrown versus the photos.
The shower unit and the room in general which was quite spacious. They had a shed with power for our electric bikes out the back in the garden.

FranceRemove all the rubbish, clutter and building materials from the house. You could see the kitchen from the hall, what a mess, and well the breakfast was a joke, A basket of dried bread, a few jams, watered down orange juice, a plate of all the same cakes and tea or coffee. All set in clutter of a conservatory that was used for gardening. We thought we were eating with the down and outs. We were booked for two nights and left after the first. The bed and bathroom were all that I could recommend. The only other advice is don' stay!
