Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot much really. Despite the language barrier the staff were very helpful but as I said, they were in short supply at times..
The room was special. Design simplicity with spacious bathroom and porthole type windows. The breakfast was continental type with eggs on request. As with everywhere I think they were a little short staffed at times but happy to cater for any requests e.g. iron etc.

AustraliaThe decoration of the hotel lent itself to a classical French design, however sadly our room was dressed in a cheap modern ikea feel.
The hotel was close to the historical centre in a beautiful 3 story home, our room was large with a comfortable bed and huge bathroom, all renovated. They offered a lovely traditional French breakfast.

United KingdomWe couldn't get in when we arrived as there was no staff there and we had to ring the number on the booking to be told to go next door to book in. The photos look like a nice place but it is on a busy street with no parking outside. Quite confusing.
Lovely big room in a stylish hotel.

MaltaJust a number of small points, but annoying. The Property is really an upmarket B/B containing modern 60's/70's furniture with modern art, that just does not fit with an early Victorian Property. The separate lounge on the ground floor did not have ONE relaxing chair, just FLOP ON'S !!!!!! There is no bar as such, just a corner, with bottles, you open yourself and sign for. Breakfast is very basic and expensive for the price of 18 euros. There is no restaurant in the property and the closest is at least a 15 minutes walk up hill (Catch bus (A), 25 meters from Property), with all the shops. In the room the shower door leaked out on to Parque flooring (leaked for sometime as wood soaked), Only 1 small hand soap between the 2 of us. (NO Hand wash or Shower gel), Only small sachets of body wash and shampoo, NO HAIR CONDITIONER, all basic stuff for a 4 star. Long mirror placed on wall behind bathroom door, caused problems. Hairdryer, worked well, but too heavy for ladies to hold for drying period, Electrical socket for hair dryer, in the bathroom, next to tap, heath and safety? All small problems that deter from a perfect holiday, BUT OVERALL L'HOTEL PARTICULIER is a nice place to stay but lacking any atmosphere.
Beautiful period property, Original Impressive internal features retained, Spacious Room (Les ELEGANTES), Extremely Comfortable beds, Lovely soft pillows, Total Peace and Quiet, Both of us slept like LOG! for our 5 night stay, Free bottle of water each, everyday was a nice touch, Fluffy White Towels everyday, Room cleaning was excellent, every day, Whiter than White sheets changed every other day, excellent, separate SPOTLESLY CLEAN toilet, (in room), Good Air- Con.

IsraelWe didn`t stay at hotel Particulier Few hours befor our arrival I got a telephone call from a worker of the hotel that let us know the hotel is closed due to COVID19 He suggested another hotel of this network - hotel In Situ, adjacent to hotel Particulier. We payed the same price, though the hotel looked of lower quality than our original reservation (however we got a free parking for that night)

United Kingdomthe rooms are not sound proofed so unfortunately due to the lovely wooden floors you can hear people walking around their rooms and in the corridor & using the shower. we couldn’t check in until 4pm and were not given the opportunity to store our bags. in general, the hotel was spotless but felt a bit soulless
it was nice and bright. the finishings were to a high standard. it had an honesty bar. the bed was comfy. 10 mins walk into town

United KingdomArriving mid evening on the Friday where there was one person on reception. I had printed copies of my bookings, an issue arose which could have been resolved in minutes had the bookings on the computer in reception being checked, which was not done.
The 2 ladies in reception were excellent, they are certainly a great credit to this hotel and thank them for their responsiveness and attention to detail.

SwedenThe hotel overall was nice. However keep in mind that it is not the closest hotel to Béziers main street, if you have some trouble walking. First night the lamp in our room did not work, so I had to go and get the night receptionist who fixed it and was also very nice. Then we had to get help again because the wine opener broke in pieces. The second day the toilet did not work to flush and just made a running sound. The day receptionist said it was fine and did not do anything about it. However, at night it still didn't work and the amazing young night receptionist guy fixed that as well. The breakfast was to be eaten inside, it would have been beautiful to eat it out on the pool side patio. Overall, we got more value for our money when we later stayed at a hotel in the centre of Montpellier.
It's a cute boutique hotel with great design and beautiful house. Probably nice to explore surroundings with a car. Other than that one night and day is enough for Béziers and the hotel. Breakfast was good but quite expensive considering how much we had already paid for the room.

SpainLet's start with being greeted and told we are early and our room not ready. The hotel was near empty. A check-in time of 16:00 is quite late. A better response would have been to say that the room we reserved is not ready and that they would instead put us in a different room. (even if an upgrade) We were told to go and relax by the pool until our room was ready which was nice, but nobody came at the magic 16:00 to tell us the room was ready. Also, WiFi not connecting when access from the third floor or from poolside. We did access in the dining room and office. Also, some staff appeared to be limited to speaking French which could be challenging for foreign visitors. We managed to get things done using sign language and basic English words, and all was done with a smile on the part of staff. (part of the joy and adventure of travel) The hotel appeared to be a work in progress and we would be happy to stay again, so the things mentioned here are small areas for staff to consider improving.
The hotel is unique in the architecture and style of the building. Very nice little pool out back and shade as you need it. The room was nice and comfortable, as was the bed. Breakfast was a nice selection of typical French dishes and staff were pleasant to make sure we had what was needed. Had to pay for parking (€18) but well secured and close by.
