Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe only downside could be the location of room #2 and hearing everyone go up and down the stairs. Or going to their rooms. BUT...it really wasn't an issue as the guests turned in early and, by 9pm, all was well! I slept very soundly!
I loved the location specifically. I am on a solo motorcycle trip through Europe and used this hotel for a multi-day stay while I toured the Normandy WWII sites. It was perfect and close to everything! I was originally going to stay in Caen but that would have required me to backtrack every day. The location is in a quiet location, the owner is great, the restaurant food was amazing! I was allowed to park my motorcycle inside the gated part of the hotel, which was much appreciated! I stayed in room #2 right off of the front desk. It is the disabled room, which I appreciated as the size of the bathroom was increased and convenient. I would definitely come back here!

Room was good - clean and spacious, with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was also good. Location is a little out of town. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good. We were cycling but the hotel was unable to accept and store our bags before 4.00pm.

Room and facilities were very good. I was a initially little concered to read all the rules and regulations but our stay was very relaxed and staff very friendly coping well with my poor mastery of the French language. Lovely old building beautifully converted. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, whilst not cheap it was good value. Breakfast was included and offered a wide selection of pastries, cheeses, meats and other very nice breakfast fare.

United KingdomNothing .
Very friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome . Our room was clean and comfortable . The continental breakfast was plentiful , the evening meal menu had great variety and the food was delicious . The historic property had a large free parking area , and was ideally placed for touring the D-Day beaches by car which was the reason for our visit . We would strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting this part of Normandy .

United KingdomCannot criticise any aspect of our stay.
The Hotel is basically a Barn conversion and all the better for it. The stonework and its enviroment is warm and inviting. Rather than modern, sterile - stereotypical. We felt immediatly at home there. The building complex is very ancient - the clue is in the name-I'm guessing possible 400 years old and based on its location would surely have suffered in WW2. Its location was perfect for our tour the Normandy beaches and visit the British memorial and 'The Giants' installation for the 80th anniversary of D-Day The resturant is also very good and clearly popular, supported by pre and post dinner drinks in the central courtyard. We would definatly use it again and highly recommend to other prospective travellers when visiting this spectacularly historic area.

ThailandRooms are a bit basic but definitely comfy enough.
The host is exceptionally friendly and the property is very charming. It must have been an old farm that has been converted into an hotel. The food is so good that we chose to have dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel every evening. Location is excellent for people who would like to see the landing beaches of the Allies. Omaha beach and especially the Battery Longue sur Mer is just around teh corner.

United KingdomThere is no bar so no possibility of a cool beer at the end of a long cycle ride.
It is a lovely old building set in quiet countryside. The rooms are clean and bright. There is plenty of parking a a good area for bicycle storage. The proprietor was extremely helpful when we had a health problem. The restaurant is very good and good value.

United KingdomInside staircase was single width and not suitable for carrying suitcases. The outside staircase was ok for leaving. The windows in the bedroom and bathroom were hinged at the bottom and only opened 150cm at the top and would not allow escape in the event of fire.
Room was clean and airy. The restaurant was good.

United KingdomFor the price, one could not ask for more. We really only were able to arrive, eat, sleep, leave so cannot comment on anything in greater detail
We ate in the restaurant which appeared to fill up quite quite quickly, seems some were locals which is always a good indicator. First meal in France for this trip and it's content brought many happy memories flooding back, the quality of the food was excellent, The restaurant closes at 8;30 but I think all were served Our room whilst not being 'roomy' had cold A/C, comfy bed and a warm shower. Warm drink-making facility was appreciated.

United KingdomI didn't like the spiral staircase to the second floor. Difficult to climb and very hard with luggage. I didn't like that there was nowhere to meet with friends if it was raining. Hotel shuts after breakfast and doesn't open until around 6:00pm so can't even get a drink at the bar. The room we had was small but adequate.
Evening meal was good, with friendly staff. Good wifi and free parking. Family run business, and they tried hard to accommodate. Even though their English wasn't good we managed to have a laugh with them. Breakfast was ok, a croissant and meat, bread, jam, yoghurt and fruit. No variation.
