Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomLa cour des grands was a lovely place to stay in Arras, it was very central , right in the heart , in place de les Heros . Beautiful architecture. Lots of reasonably priced places to eat. Walking distance to train station. Place was spotless, bed comfy , staff friendly, breakfast delicious. I was travelling alone and I felt very safe in this town. I stayed on the third floor , four flights of stairs , so this may not be accessible to everyone , so if you have a dodgy , hip , knee or heart , it's probably better to not stay on the top floor , but the room , the bathroom off it and the private terrace were lovely.

Excellent coffee Only very slight negative was shower door didn't shut properly so you had to be careful not to spray water towards the door

United KingdomA pitstop in Arras and the lodging bang in the middle of town so conveniently located for a quick visit albeit parking and the one way streets a little combative - spacious room just fine - simple breakfast

United KingdomThe only comment I would make is that this is a B&B set above a bar, which we didn't expect (perhaps we didn't do enough research). This didn't turn out to be a problem for us, but we were the only clients in the place on a Sunday night and there are no staff on site after the bar closes, so this might be a decisive factor in choosing the accommodation for single travellers. However, security seemed good with strong locks and doors and, apparently, 24-hour video surveillance. We didn't feel vulnerable but a previous client who had booked for the night decided to go elsewhere as she was travelling on her own.
Despite the unexpected arrival via a lively bar on Places des Héros, we were greeted by a delightful young member of staff who sorted out the booking and showed us to our room. This is quite a quirky place to stay and the space has been well renovated, with a charming decor. Our room had a view over the square, with a very comfortable bed and a small but good shower room. There is also a pretty little communal lounge area, just at the top of the (steep) stairs, which would be a great place to relax if you were staying longer. We left very early in the morning, so didn't have breakfast. Other than that, we really couldn't fault the place and for the price, it was perfect!

United KingdomBreakfast on the last day. We didn't want breakfast on our first day as we were going out for lunch but booked for the second day as we had a long drive to Rotterdam. We were asked to pay in advance and then on the day there was nobody available and no breakfast! Another couple who were staying eventually left the property and had breakfast next door then asked for a refund. I managed to contact someone by phone and 45 minutes later someone turned up. They were very apologetic, saying they hadn't been told we needed breakfast and when breakfast was ready it was good value. However, we had a little time available to us, but if we had been rushed we would have had to do without. Also for checkout purposes, someone needs to be available.
Location was fab and the room spotless. Access is through a bar but staff and customers were friendly. Couldn't hear any noise from outside, even though it was very busy, thanks to soundproofing!

FranceAs others have said, it is above a bar - but we didn’t mind as we love people-watching! Very low level music which stopped around midnight - didn’t disturb us at all and you can’t hear it from the roof terrace anyway.
Wonderful room, super comfy bed and large luxurious bathroom. Location - overlooking the Place de Héros - was magnificent. The icing on the cake was the roof terrace - totally private, quiet (in a busy place) and comfortable. Air conditioning worked perfectly - and it was very hot! Lovely, friendly and helpful staff.

United KingdomThe only downside is the room is above a lively bar which may be an issue in high season but did not bother us.
The room was really spacious with a great bathroom, unfortunately it was too wet to use the terrace. Fabulous view of the square and lovely breakfast in the morning. Great stopover for the tunnel.

United KingdomNot the fault of the property, but it was not possible to park close to the property, so we had to carry all our luggage a hundred metres or so from the car to the accommodation.
A lovely room in the centre of Arras, located above a cafe overlooking the Place des Heros. The location was excellent, in the heart of the town, and surprisingly quiet for a busy area. The hostess was very welcoming and friendly. The decor of the property was really well done and thought through. We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Secure, safe parking available a short walk from the property.

AustraliaNothing! You are staying above a bar so noise may be an issue for some but you are in the heart of town and an earphone solves any problem.
Amazing location and very accommodating staff. Able to leave my bags there pre checkin and post checkout despite the influx of tourists for the music festival. The local staff go above and beyond to help English speakers.
