Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt was all perfect!
What a wonderful, peaceful retreat in the provencal countryside. We stayed in the 'roulotte', which is is small but perfectly equipped. It was cosy and delightful. Claire was a warm and welcoming host upon our arrival and departure. La Source was an outstanding base of operations for exploring the nearby hill towns and walking trails.

SwitzerlandBeautiful location with large vegetable garden and a small basin to cool off after hikes. Possible to walk to Colorado park from the property. Claire was a wonderful host and showed us how the best route to walk to Colorado through the woods. There is also lots of information on her favorite spots to eat and visit in the area.

GermanyThere was nothing to complain about.
The place is great. The best thing is the atmosphere. It is super cosy, Claire is super nice. There are so many hammocks, places to chill, etc. Best place to get comfortable.

FranceNot a dislike, but visitors should bear in mind that the gîte is actually the annex of a larger house, so you will have close neighbours. If you require total isolation, it may not be for you. I mentioned to Claire that I felt the lighting in the upstairs bathroom could have been brighter, as I couldn't see very well for shaving. But maybe most people don't want to shave when they're on vacation!
The gîte was an enjoyable combination of rustic and modern, next to a 19th century house at the end of genuine rutted track and surrounded by fields. There were two large bedrooms with their own bathrooms (you have to go outside to access the downstairs one, but it's literally a short hop across the terrace). We appreciated the large kitchen table for breakfasts and evening meals - as the weather was unusually showery, it became the focal point of our stay. The location could not have been better: the heart of Provence was ours to explore.

FranceThe bathroom and toilets are outside the house which means that you need to dress up in the night and use the lamp. My stay was during falls, i'm not very cold sensitive, but that was a bit fresh to sleep.
The location is amazing, surrounded by fields of lavender with a beautiful view on the hill. The house is in a beautiful old sheepfold, next door to the owner's. It is very well decorated and very cozy, equipped as a normal apartment. the terraces are enjoyable when the weather is nice as the place is extremely quiet. Claire is a very kind person, very attentive to her guests' wellness. THANK YOU Claire!!

Germany-
We had a really great time at La Source. Claire is a wonderful host, she welcomed us with a rosé wine and had a lot of personal recommendations for places to visit, restaurants and a very good winery nearby. Although she has two cute animals, we really fell in love with. :) The appartment has everything we needed and more, it was in the middle of nature, very quite and charming. Especially for august it was very cool inside. We had some relaxing days and would love to come back sometime. La Source really is a source of beauty and recreation!! Thank you, Claire!

South AfricaNothing, though a pool would have made this mid-summer stay beyond perfect!
Charmingly decorated 2 roomed accommodation exactly as photographed. The thick walls and fan keep the interior cool despite the intense heat experienced in this part of France this summer Well equipped kitchenette Great shower and toilet. The shaded verandah overlooks a magnificent lavender field (harvested on our last day) The lovely owner, Claire lives in the main house on the premises and speaks very good English. She gave us an excellent orientation on arrival and invaluable advice on walks and restaurants, enabling us to maximize our 4 day stay in the beautiful surrounding Luberon region. It was hard to leave and we hope to come back soon
