Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A very convenient location in the center of Avignon, just minutes from the train station. Interesting art on the walls.

It’s a very attractive well located small hotel. The friendly owner has decorated most of the walls with interesting artistic posters from previous Avignon festivals . It makes it feel like a gallery. All the fittings are high quality and the place seems very well run. It’s important to know there is no lift.

United StatesUnfortunately, our shower had pretty significant mold in it. We didn’t notice it until the morning, while showering right before check out, and didn’t feel like bringing it up in-person since we were just staying for one night and didn’t want to ruin our morning with stress or conflict. The bathroom was very tight and uncomfortable. The toilet was very narrow and almost difficult to use due to my height. It was a little chilly at night and a thicker comforter would’ve been appreciated - there were blankets in the cupboard, but they were scratchy and not ideal (since it’s not clear if, generally-speaking, hotels wash these between guests).
The manager on-site was professional, welcoming, and friendly. He had with him the sweetest little dog named Bonnie who brought so much joy to us in our brief stay! The hotel is very charming with a beautiful breakfast area and posters covering the walls. The location was perfect for us - on a quiet street, close to our preferred streets, shops, and restaurants, and within about a five to ten minute walk to the train station. The mattress was firm and we slept well. Our room was quiet with a beautiful view of the rooftops and sky. We were able to store our bags for free before departing for the train and there was a restroom in the salon area that we could use.

IsraelThe hotel is staffed only until 8pm (but there are adequate arrangements for late arrivals).
The decor and the artworks are in good taste and create a pleasnt atmosphere. Many small details have been given thought, like the doors closing very gently and noiselessly. The hotel location is convenient for getting to the main attractions, restaurants and the main shopping street.

AustraliaThe location is a short walk from Avignon Station with immediate access to the sights of interest around the city. The room was comfortable on the 1st Floor. Importantly, there is no lift, so guest must be able to use the stairs carrying their luggage. The hotel owner and host knows exactly how to make his guest welcome and comfortable. Breakfast is served either in the dining room or courtyard.

United KingdomA wonderfully designed room with lots of thoughtful details. Lots of storage space with helpful shelves in the bathroom and shower for keeping toiletries within reach. Additional reading lights and USB sockets meant there was always somewhere to charge devices. The air conditioning and blind meant the room was cool which was a welcome relief in August. The hotel was ideally located just around the corner from a square with good cafes and restaurants and next to a park for sitting and people watching. A special mention needs to be made of Bonnie the dog who made us feel very welcome.

AustraliaNarrow stairs without a lift, but the hotel is clear this is the case. It is not always staffed.
The room was large with big windows overlooking the quiet street. It was nicely decorated as was the hotel overall. It was close to nice, lively restaurants and other attractions. Staff were helpful. The hotel has a lovely, cultivated old charm - it felt like a hotel from a Jean Rhys novel.
