If you are an older traveller you might like to request a room on the lower floors as there are no stairs however, I believe an elevator is in the pipeline.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hôtel Le Médiéval Palais des Papes, nestled among historic buildings. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the main attractions. Our room was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making our stay even better.

Rooms are reasonably comfortable and clean but very outdated in decor fixtures and fittings- such a shame as the really let down an otherwise lovely hotel.

Location was terrific. Very quiet. A charming older property with character and well looked after. I stayed several days and each day my room was tidied and bathroom cleaned. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. And loved having breakfast outside in the courtyard.

First of all the staff is an amazing highlight of the hotel, everyone so polite and friendly. Always available to help and share the best tips. Hotel has a great location, you can walk everywhere, even to the train station. The rooms were comfy and super clean. Highly recommend.

Black mold made me feel sick and I had to extend my stay because I couldn't get up. Despite the confirmation through Booking, the staff walked into the room and told me I needed to leave. I mentioned I had extended my stay hours before, and they said they'd check- no apologies for the rudeness.

Room is hot and aircon is LOUD. Use the window if possible. With most older buildings the bathroom had a smell but it didn't travel into the bedroom.

Too much noise from neighboring rooms and outside construction, dated decor, no hekp getting luggage uptairs, unclear that bewakfast was not included. Stenxh like vinegar throughout the building.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, historic hotel. It was in a perfect location to walk everywhere in the historic center and the staff were fantastic. One gracious woman helped my husband when he had a wardrobe malfunction before going to a formal wedding. Merci! We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return in the future.

No hand towels provided and no hot water one evening and early morning. You might be told that breakfast is included, but that's not necessarily the case, and you will be charged upon checkout.

The location was good, they provided us with umbrellas when it was raining, and allowed us to drop off our luggage before checking in.

A magnificent hotel, perfectly placed in Avignon for everyone, especially cyclists. The rooms are spacious and filled with charm and secure storage is provided for you bicycle. Though located opposte a park and in the hub of a dining area, the rooms remain whisper quiet.
