Wow, what a gorgeous renovation. The room was spacious and very stylish. Outside the room was your own small table & chairs where you could sit and look out at the large garden. Continental breakfast had a good choice of quality hams, cheese, jams, cereal yoghurts etc. The owner was very friendly and helpful too. He recommended a couple of great restaurants within walking distance and booked a table for us as our French is pretty useless! I would most definitely stay here again. A real wow at the end of a long day of driving!

Friendly helpful owner and his lovely dog. Very clean, beautifully warm and spacious room with a garden for my dog to explore. Brilliant to have a kettle with teabags in the room and a little fridge. Easy to find and easy walk to Chartres cathedral. Great parking. Good breakfast. Well recommended. A*

If I had one tiny suggestion, and it is only tiny, it would have been nice to have a little more surface space near the sink in the bathroom to put my wash bags etc.

A great property on the edge of the city. It felt like you were in the countryside but it was only a 10 minute walk into the centre. It was very comfortable and well-equipped with easy access to the garden. There were some very nice architectural, decorative features. The host was very friendly and helpful and booked us a restaurant in town. The breakfast was excellent. It was one of the most welcoming and easiest places to stay either our dog.

Clean, comfortable accommodation in a tranquil location a short walk from the centre of Chartres. Very friendly and welcoming host provided a good breakfast. This would be a good location for exploring Chartres; for us a last night in France on our way back from the Lot. We appreciated being able to leave our car in a secure location and enjoyed our walk to the Cathedral and main square for an evening meal.

There was a certain odour in the bathroom, probably due to a sewage problem

Great view and access from the room into the garden. Location is ideal for accessing the city centre.
