Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceNothing comes to mind.
A fabulous place to stay. Ed and Fred are first class hosts. We stayed for two nights at the end of June. Despite the property being in a very quiet rural location there are restaurants a short drive away. Ed and Fred gave us some very good choices. One advantage is that the property has a fridge and microwave together with plates and utensils for guests so you can have your own meal at the property. There is also a small, but perfectly stocked, honesty bar. On one of the evenings we were able to eat our own meal at the property in the beautiful courtyard overlooking the perfect swimming pool. No need to wash up the dishes this was done by Ed and Fred. We stayed in one of the bedrooms which are large and decorated and furnished to a high standard. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was silent and worked perfectly. The bathroom was also a good size with plenty of room in the shower. It was great to have a Nespresso coffee machine in the room. As mentioned Ed and Fred are great hosts. They are so proud of their beautiful home. We phoned ahead to give an estimated time of arrival, we always try to do this out of courtesy. On arrival we were met and directed to a parking place next to the rear entrance of the property. It was just a few steps and we were inside the stunning pool courtyard. We were then given a tour of their home including some of its history as we were taken to our room. The entrance hallway and staircase is simply stunning. The courtyard has plenty of sunloungers, tables and chairs both in and out of the shade. The pool is heated and spotlessly clean. Pool towels are provided. The breakfasts can be eaten inside or in the courtyard. The breakfast is wonderful including home made juices, cereals, yoghurt, breads, meats, cheeses and cooked eggs to order. A variety of freshly made tea and coffee. The wifi was perfect, stable and quick. They were able to give lots of advice on places to go and to eat at.

United StatesThis was a veritable Oasis for us. We were treated every morning to fresh ground coffee, freshly squeezed juices of different varieties, a Dutch breakfast with varied cheeses, meats, fruit and fresh yogurt. We arrived from our meandering to a welcoming environment every day as we stayed for a full 9 nights. We miss the location and our hosts. We will certainly choose it again without hesitation!

FranceEd & Fred are the perfect hosts, they made us feel so welcome. They renovated their beautiful house in the heart of the village. Too bad we couldn't enjoy the garden due to the cold weather. Breakfast is superb, and parking is safe and easy.

SpainAmazing experience. The house is beautifully decorated, and the room is big and comfortable. We had a good sleep in that comfy bed without any noise from the outside because the town is tranquil and charming. Ed and Fred are great hosts, and their homemade breakfast is fantastic! They recommended several restaurants in the other towns to have dinner (go early or make a reservation even if it's low season), and parking space is available in the street. We felt at home and would love to return

SpainGreat place, with wonderful, hospitable hosts. You will fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of southern France. You won't find it in the city. Very stylish and authentic, comfort - thought out to the smallest detail. Great French breakfast, good restaurants nearby. The hosts will gladly tell you where to go and tell you the history of this estate. Swimming pool, parking behind the house, everything you need is available. Nice to walk around the village itself, with lots of blackberry bushes and fig trees. The case when in life is even better than in the photos Convenient for visiting both Carcassonne and Narbonne Highly recommended and we will be back here again and again!

GermanyWe had an amazing experience staying with Ed and Fred! They turned this house into a little paradise with beautiful apartments, furniture, decor and garden. Every detail has been thought out and they make sure their guests feel comfortable and relaxed. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts on the terrace with a great selection of products as well as the cheese platters they served on some of the evenings. We highly recommend staying here and hope to come back ourselves some day in the future!

AustraliaA few small things which someone might just find helpful to know in advance. Breakfast is served later than is usual, not a worry if you enjoy sleeping in. Raissac d’Aude is a quiet little village which is great for getting a good nights sleep. It does mean one needs to drive some way to find things like bars, restaurants or a supermarket. ( Lots of great recommendations of places to eat from our hosts. Guests can also purchased wine or beer to enjoy by the pool) There are only a few parking spots in the wider street at the rear entrance. So coming back late after dinner out we needed to find a park in one of the narrow streets nearby and walk a short distance. Happily we had lovely balmy evenings, it’d have felt different on a wet and windy night.
Entering through the rear courtyard gate was like stepping into a little Mediterranean oasis - foliage, colorful flowers, a pool. It’s the perfect place to relax. During our three night stay we found ‘LOCG’ lived up to expectations as it’s been tastefully renovated to include modern amenities. Being summer, the delicious breakfast was served outside by the pool, such a lovely way to start the day. Having a car, we found it was a good base to explore the area. We were able to easily get to places of interest like Abbé Fontfroide, Narbonne, Canal du Midi ….and further afield. Having access to a small guest frig was a nice touch and really appreciated.

United KingdomOnly very minor things - there was no milk supplied to have a tea in the room (you could only have it black), the parking outside is very limited and tight (As I found out… 😂) and there isn’t much near the hotel so you have to drive if you want to eat out!
The whole place is amazing, from the super friendly hosts through to the decor and the space by the pool. We were both amazed and would definitely revisit. Breakfast was included and was also 10/10. Feels like a total bargain for the price, considering it’s the same as a Travellodge in the Uk

United KingdomNo complaints we LOVED our stay.
We absolutely loved our stay, one of the most stunning places we’ve had the pleasure of visiting. The hosts are impeccable, their hospitality is just perfect, very friendly and welcoming, every detail thought of, fantastic breakfast including a choice of eggs which is a real treat as not often offered in France. If you are wanting to explore beyond the hotel you do need a car as the village feels a little remote with very little to do in the immediate walking area, other than enjoy a beautiful walk of course. Lots of lovely tiny villages near by to explore, but a car or bikes I guess are a must.
