Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIf there would’ve been a little fridge and a kettle in the room it would have been perfect.
Beautiful panoramic view from everywhere. Very nice staff and cool room. Easy way into the old town (but! not short, be prepared :D)

LatviaHotel is like 1 km from the city centre, but that's climbing, not walking distance; especially when buses going in that direction has their own internally known schedule (not much hosts can do there, but anyway). Parking on the street is a little lottery - you can get a place nearby or you could make some climbing. I liked the lizards on the terrace, my girls not so much. :)
The view from terrace is exceptional. Owners themselves run the show so the attitude is very cooperative.

DenmarkThis hotel can offer you amazing views over Nice! Especially our room which had a private terrace with view. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is small and cosy. The breakfast was also small but it was very tasty, and you could buy more things.

IrelandMy stay was really excellent but I would recommend access to the bevarages fridge ie. water, orange etc. when the reception is out of hours as it's too far to walk if one runs short and its important to have access to fluids especially when the weather is very hot.
A lovely place to stay, a real French adventure, beautiful room with a stunning view, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

PortugalLocation: Legendary — if you want to burn calories. Sure, there’s a bus and a tram “connection,” but the bus was a myth (missing every single day - which of course can't be controlled by the hotel), and the final stretch is a mini Tour de France uphill sprint. You’ll arrive back to the hotel every day with burning legs and a humbled soul. Great for the 12-30yo crowd — or if you need a summer body transformation. Facilities: Decent view, especially at night. But: poor WiFi, wild shower temperatures (either very hot or very cold, no in-between). As for the breakfast (we took the Continental) — you get a 1 croissant, jam, honey, 1 yoghurt, 1 glass of juice, bread and coffee with or without milk. If you want protein, sacrifice your croissant and you’ll get one slice of cheese and two slices of ham. This is not a buffet breakfast fyi. Sound isolation also needs improvement. It is possible to hear your neighbors’ bathroom habits and also hear first hand 7am conversations from the lobby while you're trying to sleep in on your holiday. Accuracy of listing: Much better on paper. Photos and descriptions oversell it. Might need to check 3D maps to start checking street inclines before booking next time. Overall: Not happy with the experience. Yes, it’s a 2-star budget hotel in Nice, but even on a budget, there are far better options when it comes to location, accessibility and breakfast.
Comfort: Bed was comfy, temperature was fine — didn’t need AC. Cleanliness: The room was clean. Staff: Genuinely lovely. Kind, helpful, accommodating — they’re the reason the place gets a 4. The staff was very helpful in preparing a breakfast for me to leave at 6am in the morning!

United KingdomBasically no soundproofing - could hear all the other guests moving around and all the plumbing (eg very noisy when other guests were taking showers for example). Woken up every early every morning by the sound of other guests. Rooms are also very small and could have benefited from small fridge or few more amenities.
Comfy bed, stunning views and helpful staff

Czech RepublicA small, nice and cozy hotel with a fantastic view and an absolutely amazing breakfast. We had several options to choose from and we could choose every part, including fresh fruit and pastries that were still warm. I thought the best thing about the whole stay would be the breakfast with a view, but what made us even more happy were the kind and helpful owners who helped and advised us, making our whole stay in NICE extremely easy.

United KingdomLocation is out of town. It’s very expensive for what it is, tired decor and far too many silly rules stuck up everywhere.. doesn’t feel very ‘ welcoming’ The continental breakfast was just lots of bread? Croissants, toast, bread roll???? No cold meats, no fresh fruit?? No cereal, it’s is what people expect from this type of breakfast. The last bit of negative feedback relates to a missing glass water bottle that the owner got in a flap about. I had only just checked out and gave back our key, was waiting for the Uber outside, when the owner went straight to check our room and then came out asking if we had moved or taken his glass water bottle. Did not appreciate this accusation!!! We are back packing around Europe with wet heavy bags!! What could we possibly want with a glass water bottle and why would anyone accuse a guest of taking it without first checking with his staff. It turns out his maid had taken it out of our room on the2nd day of our stay. Will not return here.
The view from the hotel. American breakfast good value for money if not a bit odd?? Cold meats belong on the continental?? Fried eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and toast on the American…

United KingdomI had the worst experience at Le Panoramic Boutique Hôtel. Although we didn’t stay the night, our brief encounter was enough to leave a lasting negative impression. We requested a refund and reached out multiple times, but the hotel never responded. The lady working at the reception was extremely rude and unkind. Her behavior was unacceptable and made us feel very unwelcome. It's disappointing that a hotel with such a reputation would treat its guests this way. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and hope they improve their customer service in the future. Ramin

United KingdomThe hills can be a bit steep to traverse but if you don’t want to climb the stairs, there’s a bus available that will drop you off right in front of the property.
Everyone who works here are incredibly helpful and polite. Felt like a home away from home. The scenery was absolutely incredible, the rooms were clean and well-kept, and the breakfast room was well decorated. One of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in.
