Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceOn google maps the restaurant was shown as open and it wasn’t. We were advised to go to a café in Marseillette but that was also closed and there was no where else y tu I eat.
We were on a cycling trip. So we appreciated the safe locked garage and the location of the hotel.

United KingdomNowhere open to eat. Luckily we were just in time to get some food from the local shop. Proprietor thought that the only restaurant would be open, and wasn't enthusiastic that the only place we could eat was our room. (too windy to eat outside)
Room was lovely, Very clean. Great shower. Conveniently situated to the Canal Du Midi. Great facility for storing electric bicycles with power points.

GermanyThe rooms and furnishings are quite old and you can hear a lot through the walls.
Really friendly family hotel. The food on offer was really nice. The area is really quiet, and there are plenty of little walks to go on.

SpainAmazing place and amazing family who owns the hotel! We spend several nights in this hotel (aim of the trip - to visit Carcasson and Perpignan, travelling with family, 1-year baby and a dog). We enjoyed a lot a stay. The location is very convenient to visit Carcasson (by car). Hotel is clean, cute, comfortable, very home-like. There is a river and wine yard close to the hotel, to enjoy the walk. And my special regards definitely go to the owner of the hotel, Emmanuelle and Michel. Very kind people who helped us a lot and did everything to make our stay and our dinners comfortable and nice! Very good luck to them!

United KingdomWould have liked a kettle and cups in the room. Would have liked a full toilet roll or a spare The only bedside table was some kind of model of an African animal, large object but the actual table surface was tiny.
My friend and I were cycling the Canal du Midi and needed a stop in the village of Marseillette. This property is right on the canal and easily accessible and I would describe it as quirky / eccentric in its decor. Decent welcome from the host who showed us where we could store our bikes securely overnight and showed us our room. We had booked a twin room and the room provided was small but adequate and must have been the "African room" as it was decorated throughout with African decor, bedding, objects etc. Wifi decent, no tea or coffee making facilities but we were provided with a jug of hot water and two cups when we asked, as we had brought our own teabags with us. Only one toilet roll provided and it was half used already so we were sparing. Shower good. Quite a noisy night as the water pipes appeared to pass through our room so we heard every time someone else flushed or filled and emptied their sink. Breakfast was buffet style continental and pretty good - hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, bread, cake and homemade jams and spreads. There is a restaurant at the property but we didn't have our evening meal there - we walked along the road into the village centre where there is a bar/snack bar and the food was spot on, casual dining, good value.

CanadaEither the hosts, the food or the garden were our favorite - all were wonderful. An extra touch, we were given a sheet of rather marvelous bandaid or moleskin for our blisters. So kind and welcomed. And really helped for the rest of the canal walk. It was a little oasis.
