Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs is common/normal in France you don’t get tea or coffee facilities in the room (there is a common lounge with this available but you can’t really go there in pyjamas). The mini bar selection was far too limited to tempt us to buy anything (note to owner: you’d make a fortune putting some expensive chocolate and savoury snacks in the fridge).
Gorgeous Breton mansion tastefully converted into a lovely hotel. One wall of our room is the raw rock face so it’s like sleeping in a comfy cave. Spacious and spotless, we loved the style and especially the sumptuous and indulgent bathroom. The bed was an expensive and recent king sized one and the fixtures and fittings were all excellent. Breakfast was of the highest quality and with some notable local produce, too. The staff were excellent and very friendly and attentive. The grounds (and pool) were well landscaped and cared for … and it’s always lovely being surrounded by a field of frisky, happy horses.

United KingdomVery charming property just on the edge of Cancale where the countryside begins, but surprisingly close to amenities including a big supermarket. Generous breakfast and a good little pool area with a jacuzzi for extra measure.

Just the most beautiful little place in a stunning location with warm and friendly staff. Only stayed a night but wish we could have stayed for three to do some exploring in the region. Lovely

United KingdomIt’s a little way out of town, but that’s not a huge problem.
A wonderful place to stay, excellently staffed, a gorgeous pool and hot tub, top-notch food in the morning, generous hosts and comfortable beds. All near Cancale which is a lovely town to visit.

United KingdomLocation is a fair drive from Cancale so you need to organise a cab or nominated driver for dinner trips. On the other hand lots of good places to eat in Cancale and le Manoir is a lovely restful place to stay so worth very minor inconvenience....
Beautiful location. Historic buildings. Excellent house keeping and lovely comfortable suite of rooms. Well worth paying small upgrade. Good choice of breakfast items.

From the moment we drove up we were in heaven. An idyllic setting. Beautiful landscaping, rolling hills, trees, horses, fountains; a lovely manorly house. Reception was exceptional. If you are staying in this area you must try to stay here. Only about 5 minute drive to Cancale, a lovely small oyster city!! Right on the waterfront.... Breakfast was also lovely.. An array of cheeses/meats/eggs/bread. Looking out on that fabulous landscape!

United KingdomWe had a dog with us. Whilst very dog friendly we were on the 2nd floor which wasn't the most convinent location. Also the general information in the room could have been more comprehensive. None of this would put me off returning again.
Really liked the place, breakfast was great and the surrounding grounds and gardens were very nice.

NetherlandsA wonderful visit back in time - beautiful mansion on a large estate. It's a quiet spot with lots of green. The reception was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The walk to the restaurant (100 steps) and the gallery of the viaduct very interesting and unusual. It was a nice walk back after dinner. The staircase leading up to the room is beautiful. The room was comfortable with all the amenities one needs.

Gorgeous 17th century manor in immaculate condition. Our room was beautifully furnished, spacious and very comfortable. Even our dog loved sleeping on the cozy couch! The property had a country feel even though it was only a few minutes from the center of Cancale.
