Place has seen better days, outside shabby and unkempt. Room poorly decorated and showing signs of repair that were not finished off, such as hole filled in wall but not painted same colour as rest of wall. Hot night but what looked like brand new ac unit no contrle in room. Told it did not work. Spent night with very bright green flashing light from unit illuminating room.

It is convenient for local motorway but tricky to find as it is in a huge training estate with lots of roundabouts . Staff pleasent and helpful. Breakfast qood and just as expected. Good choice for cheap en route north or south, but showing its age, needs total revamp.

It was as expected for an economical, quick, overnight stay.

Self check in was so helpful as I was arriving in the early hours of the morning. The welcome at breakfast was exceptional, Jean Jacques is adorable. He made my day!

Can't complain much about 1 star, just small things like bedside lamp not working and cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved. Staying more than 1 night would be a challenge

Good 1 night stop, definitely value for money. Buffalo grill was fantastic, all the shops and activities for family and kids are nearby

The aircon was on full and the room was freezing, we couldn't find the remote to turn it off. The beds were extremely squeaky every time someone moved the smallest amount.

It was a basic room that was clean and had a private bathroom. Check in was out of hours - it says to call for a code but there is an automated machine that you can pay with and you just need confirmation number or surname.

Old and rundown. Rooms very old with drill holes in walls. Aircon even when off made a dripping sound all night.

I arrived at Derniere Classe Niort at 10.30pm having left Caen at 3.30 and driven through torrential rain. I'm a single woman in her 60's with a little dog. After 9pm you are asked to use a touch screen to check in....it didn't work. I called the number on the screen and Fabien appeared. He told me I owed 3.74€ as I hadn't paid for my dog. I gave him a prepaid Mastercard which I'd used for petrol and tolls on the way down...it still had 400 euros on it but didn't work in their machine. I offered him 4 euros in coins. Fabian got very irritated and said he could only accept cards after 9pm. I explained that I only had the mastercard and cash. Fabian complained that he had been in his bed - oblivious to the fact that it was their touchscreen machine that hadn't allowed me to chceck in. I hid the 4 euro coins under a plant pot on his counter and said "lets just leave them there and sort it out in the morning?". Fabian was extremely rude and kept asking me if I was going to pay the 3.74€ or not,,,,repeating that he had been in his bed....and saying that he would lose his job over this. He said he would cancel my booking and refund. I would far rather have stayed somewhere else but by now it was 10.45 at night.....where would I stay with a dog? I rang Booking.com and was in a queue. After 6 minutes on hold with Fabian continuing to rant about whether I was going to pay the 3.74€ or not...repeating that he had been in his bed....and saying that he would lose his job over this and requesting to cancel my booking and turn a single woman and little dog into the pouring rain at 11pm....he accepted the coins. There was only 1 power point in the room and I hadn't charged my phone. The wifi didn't work. In the morning I was so keen to just get out of this miserable place that I set off for Spain without any phone charge for satnav. This establishment is not fit to be listed on Booking.com, its a really unpleasant experience.

It was dirty, the rooms were absolutely tiny and the ‘bathrooms’ just a toilet and shower in one. No air con in our room and the bed creaked all night. Stank of smoke in the hallways and was generally uncomfortable.

(1) The adjustable shower head attachment on the riser bar was broken & remained at the base, which was chest-height & unusable. (2) The door to the shower did not fit well & water from the shower leaked into the bedroom, leaving a big puddle on the floor. Apart from a towel, there was, of course, nothing to clean the water up with. (3) I dropped a pillow on the floor by accident, just under the bed & when I retrieved it, it was covered with dirt & hair - YUK! The floors had obviously not been cleaned properly (3) NO WIFI! Although I could access the hotel wifi site, every time I logged on a 'NO INTERNET' message appeared. I had online work to do & this lack of internet lost me a lot of money. I really feel that my money should be reimbursed, for this dreadful stay... N.B: I have stayed in hotels all over France, over the last 20 years & this hotel is a bit of a disaster...
