Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast was very limited, though also very cheap, so understandable. The rooms are very stripped back, but this is a budget hotel, so I'm not complaining!
Very flexible and helpful about check-in arrangements. Reception is not open 24hrs. I was delayed crossing the channel and emailed the hotel about 3hrs before I would arrive and they put the key in a lock-safe and gave me the code to collect it. Great service.

The room was small and very basic, unable to use the shower as no shower head. No complimentary toiletries, no glass, no where to put my toiletries in the bathroom apart from on the floor

Pleasant surroundings, ease of location and great customer service.
The ease of the location. The manager spoke English and was excellent in his customer service. Very efficient and friendly. Well done to him. Great service overall. Always stop with you on the way to the Savoie.

Only issue was the bathroom flood ing and the smell that came with it
I thought the room was good for the price of our stay the only issue was the bathroom smelling as if there was a leaking pipe from the toilet or shower.

Breakfast was basic, but what I expected for the price.
Room was basic but clean. The price was very good. There was a great restaurant / buffet close by. Was just what we needed for our trip. Parking on site. Will stay again.

We arrived in the early hours after midnight. The concierge team were amazing and left us with a code to enter the hotel door. The accommodation for 4 persons was simple but comfortable and clean. Breakfast was not bad at all. The location was perfect for our purpose to break our journey onwards to UK.

Last time I was there the room I had was clean, but many of the fittings were damaged or broken. This time the room was in very good condition, but the mattress and pillow were so lumpy and hard, it was difficult to sleep. As always the breakfast is very basic and coffee terrible.
Great location for travelling on, helpful staff, clean rooms and very cheap.

Control of temperature in room

The breakfast, very limited.
Breakfast options are very limited. If they advertise breakfast and you pay for breakfast then breakfast should be served. Only bread, basic cereal and coffee?

One night stay on the way from Paris booked in the last minute. We had to check in late after the reception was closed. The communication to arrange that was smooth. We had no issues to retrieve the keys and get to our room. The room was small (just big enough for 4 beds and bathroom), good for one overnight stay, quick shower and breakfast.

The window had some kind of vent through which cold air came inside

My room was facing the hall of the hotel, where the breakfast was served, so I got awakened at 7am by the first costumers dragging chairs and talking, but I guess that wouldn't be a problem if you have a room in the corridors.
The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room, simple but comfortable. Plenty of parking spots next to the front entrance.
