Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SloveniaThe elevator needed repairs (2 days until they fixed it), and the fact that it is ski-out, but for ski-in you need to walk 100m. Lastly, the sofa in the living room isn't really a bed.
Everything.

FranceThe lift was out of order and it was challenging with the suitcases and 4 flights of stairs…my husband did his back in as a result. The television in the room did not work. Room 403.
Location excellent.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to be provided with some washing up liquid for doing the dishes/for the washing machine. These needed to be cleaned but were not provided at the end of the stay when we cleaned the room either.
The location is perfect, the beds were comfy with a nice bathroom and balcony on a basic studio room for two.

United KingdomLock system a bit outdated, one key per flat that is left on a hook at reception but not the end of the world.
Apartments great, simple but didn’t need more than we had, comfy & clean.

FrancePoor air circulation. Only windows on one side. Back bedroom 20m from the nearest window. Sauna was super expensive. 10€ per person per half hour with need to book in advance. Normally incudes in the price and no need to book.
Good size, two loos and two bathrooms.

NetherlandsOf course, anything in Val Thorens is expensive. The appartment does not have a ski in, but it the public elevator of the neighboring carrefour Montagne is only 30 m walking distance from the pistes. Beds (as always in France) are small, so I you are longer than 1m80 that might be less convenient. The cleaning costs are substantial (given the already high rental price) - a few 100 euro, but can be avoided by doing it yourself. The appartment did not have soap, a brush to do the dishes or a lot of toiletpaper, so I would recommend providing those yourself. The appartment is a bit of a mix between some nice detailing (the alcove bed is very nice) and some spartan - as usual ski resort furnishing. All in all good place to be
Superb location on the Main Street of Val Thorens. Very easy ski out facilities. We found the residence to be neat, well maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The appartment was well heated, had enough space for our family of 6. We had a wonderful stay for our skiing holiday.

United KingdomNo microwave or kettle in the room. and the bath was only suitable for a stand up shower, it was strangely very narrow and on try to take a bath gave up because it was so uncomfortable. Also our toilet was set really high off the floor which was a real issue for our autistic son but that must have just been our room because our family in the next room had a toilet at normal height
The Bar was really nice, reception was friendly, restaurant nice, bit expensive but they were very accommodating. Location was good for skiing down to the Piste but not so great at the end of the day to get back up to but really it was fine and would stay there again.

IsraelWifi is very spotty in the room. The owner is aware and plans to change providers for next year. No room for dish drainer which makes cleaning a little difficult.
Location was outstanding! Everything was within close walking distance of the hotel. Skiing down to the slopes was great, but returning uphill was a bit difficult at the end of the year with minimal snow on the ramp. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable - amazing view of the mountain! Coffee bar is convenient. Loved the hot water and deep bath for after ski relaxation.

United KingdomIt was a bit noisy at night from people out on the streets. You can’t ski back in, have to walk up a slope. The boot room was a bit small.
The location was very handy for ski hire shops and the supermarket. There is a restaurant and bar on site. You can ski out easily to the slopes.

FranceA bit overpriced, but it was the week just before New Year. Alcoves could have a bit more facilities, like hangers, shelves, to make up for a small space. For the shower it would be much better to just install a curtain, I know that the glass is supposed to look fancy, but it is simply too short and it's easy to spill water from the shower on the bathroom floor.
Nice apartment, we fit easily with 7 people. Very good access to the slopes, especially if you have some beginners in your group, very close to Peclet shopping center with supermarkets, bars, pharmacy. Ski lockers are a bit small, but the lady in the reception gave us a second locker, so no problem fitting all the skis and boots.
