12 euros for a small black coffee in a small cup to go is a ridiculous amount of money. Most expensive coffee anywhere in the world.

Breakfast is poor. We paid for the first day but the layout and choices were limited. So got stuff locally after that. Standard rooms very dated I would not stay in one as they are dull , very dated , need freshening up.

Great location. The junior suite was very good and laid out wonderfully. Really enjoyed our stay.

I was happy with the juice selection and fruit and muesli choices which consists of my breakfast. My husband liked the cold meats and cheeses, but twice ordered sunny-sized eggs which then came easy-over. Not a problem for us but that lack of communication to the chef may upset picky people.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. liked the 'antique' feeling of decor; cosy yet grand at the same time. Room was spacious with a generous-sized bathroom. Good rooftop views from our 5th floor room. A fitting truly Parisian hotel for a Parisian weekend.

When I asked room service to bring 2 bowls and 2 forks to the room, I was told it will cost me €30 which seems a bit too much given that you can buy a main dish in the restaurant outside for the same amount of money.

Housekeeping is at a really good level, the room was always very clean. Also, while check in is from 15:00 on the day of our arrival we were at the hotel around noon and we were provided with early check in at no extra cost.

Long waiting time for ordering breakfast at the restaurant. The restaurant staff pretends not to notice the guests. Otherwise, everything is okay.

The room was too hot even after we asked for the heating to be turned down. It was noisy in and out of the hotel when trying to sleep.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfy and the rooms a good size. Amazing location.

Well, they did not have WiFi back then in the 18th century, did they? So, do not expect one to work in your room. This was a bad surprise for me. The mobile phone connected to the local network reasonably well, but the laptop had an extremely low speed. This was simply not acceptable.

Hotel Raphael is a fine example of an antique 5* Parisien hotel. It is antique in every sense of the word, from rooms layout, decor and furniture to the way staff talks to guests. One needs to love the era of Three Musketiers to appreciate the ambiance of this old home.

Restaurants are very pleasant but their menu's do no cater for vegetarians at all. Breakfast in the restaurant is more 3 star than 5 star.

Concierge and Reception Exceptional made all arrangements and bookings I needed quickly and effectively ensuring my business trip flowed very smoothly. In room breakfast was great and always on time.
