Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSloping roof in room and not much room for cases. Parking - you need to park a few streets away and walk in - but we didn’t need the car for our 2 night stay.
Central location- 3 mins walk to tapestry - view of cathedral from window. Staff very friendly including the ones in the attached cafe restaurant.

United StatesThe restaurant was attached and was convenient, but food was pretty bland. The hostess on that side was rude and dismissive. We ordered a crepe to go. She proceeds to roll eyes. Then, brings it back tossed in a half closed peice of foil. I asked for the whip creme and bananas we paid for??? and a fork?? Nothing.. .she shrugged and walked away after saying she doesn't have that..honestly I was too road weary to deal with her..
The sweet lady at the front desk helped us immensely. It was located In this perfect little town. Conveniently attached to a restaurant. Breakfast, buffet style was available and very good. Our room was clean and comfortable.we paid 20 EU extra to add a bed for our 8 year old.

United StatesHad difficulty with the light sensor in the bathroom as it repeatedly went off while I was in the shower.
The location was right in the middle of everything. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The young man who checked us in (forgot his name, but dark haired and mustached) was beyond helpful. Also, loved the towel warmers and the power outlets next to each of the side of the bed.

United StatesThis was a perfect hotel for us right in the middle of the town with easy walking to shops and restaurants. The stay was wonderful, location could not have been better for the tour we took. The staff was very accommodating to our needs and the room was big, nice and quiet. The breakfast was really good as well. For sure we would stay again and will recommend to anyone going to Bayeux

AustraliaUnfortunately the fan in the bathroom and toilet wasn't working.
Everyone was so friendly, from the reception to the restaurant staff. The room was big and very comfortable, with chairs to relax in and a desk. We had a beautiful view and skylight, and it stayed very warm despite negative temperatures. The location is a 2 minute walk to most tours pick up point, and the restaurant has good hours and quality food that made it easy to eat after a long day.

New ZealandOne of the reasons I booked this hotel specifically was because it has an onsite restaurant. As I am single and it is the middle of winter, I imagined eating there most nights. I received a confirmation email before I arrived, which gave the restaurant's opening hours and invited me to book to eat there. When I arrived, the staff said that the restaurant was closed for that one week (I was there 6th-10th January, middle of winter, fewer guests, ideal for cleaning/redecorating, I guess). This was very disappointing, and I feel I should have been notified of this before arrival. That having been said, staff assured me that the restaurant is open every other week of the year! Further, that having been said, staff gave excellent recommendations of other places to eat, only a stone's throw away :)
Fantastic location in the heart of Bayeux, close to many lovely restaurants, very picturesque indeed!

United StatesI was surprised that the annex did not have an elevator and we had to carry our luggage up and down the three flights of stairs. Since we were in Europe for 2 weeks, we had larger than carry-on bags. Otherwise the property was very nice.
We stayed in the Annex and liked the fact that the room had a separate seating area away from the bedroom. Since my husband wakes up earlier than I do that worked very well for us. The room was also larger than many European hotels and we also liked that.
