The lighting in the room was a little dark and while very convenient the parking spots a very tight. The toilet in the room was unusually high from the floor.

Parking with lift with direct access to hotel (very practical). Room was clean and comfortable. Central position 10 mins walk to the centre The little garden outside is pretty if the weather allows

Parking is in a garage which we couldn't access because of height restriction (1.9) but free parking nearby after unloading. Wasn't clear if you paid extra for the use of hotel parking. Small thing but for a 4 star hotel find it strange that wooden teaspoons were provided. 'Fridge' wasn't very efficient.

Limited choices for breakfast (more 3 stars standard), no fresh juice. There is only 33ml bottle of Evian water provided in the room for two people, no coffee machine offered.

Lovely and spacious room, the hotel is in close proximity to city centre and easy access from A7.

Sheets could be a little softer but were not an issue for me at all.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The location is great if you want easy walking access to the city center but also to easily head out to visit other sites in the area by car.

Staff was able to secure taxi on holiday on short notice for a short ride because we had heavy luggage. She first offered to take us herself when she got off work!

The disturbance from other guests talking, laughing and SMOKING below our bedroom window. Very thin material on curtains afforded no privacy or any level of darkness whatsoever. Air conditioning unit ( required because had to close the window because of smoke and disturbance) was positioned incorrectly as cool air didn’t reach the area by the bed.

A shower that soaked me and the whole bathroom in cold water. I noticed after the shock because the umbrella shower head was in a dreadful badly clogged state and looked as though it had never been cleaned. I reported the fact to the non caring reception desk when checking out to eventually be assured the Manager would contact me within 24 hours, it is now 6 days later and I am still waiting. A decent looking bar but the barman wanted to give me Jack Daniels when I asked for a cognac because he had no idea it was not a cognac. It transpired he had absolutely no product knowledge nor interest in serving a humble client.

Our room was not as photographed. We raised this with the reception who told us that the hotel was in the process of being upgraded and that our room hadn’t been upgraded yet. I think if this is the case the advertisement should not have the photos of the new rooms if this is not what you are getting. Breakfast was ok but nothing special and quite expensive. You had to pay €15 for parking. The downstairs had been recently renovated but for some reason the bar area was in a “Caribbean” style which wasn’t very sympathetic to the wine country and the drinks were very expensive, and quite disappointing.
