You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomThe host very slow to respond to messages I asked them many many times before our departure some very easy but important questions and they were totally ignored The bed was way too low and pillows were the worst I’ve ever slept on. We arrived at 02:30 and had to make up 2 beds, sheets, pillow cases and even the duvet cover. The bed sheets didn’t fit the bed or the sofa bed not did the duvet covers The checkout sheet then had the cheek to ask us to remove the bedding before vacating placing the in to a bag, all before vacating the apartment (we departed at 04:00) The wardrobes in the bedroom were absolutely useless and didn’t work properly The parking wasn’t properly explained like I felt it could have been The bus services at the end of the road is also brilliant and wasn’t explained like it could have been. This wasted time and money for us as we drove to the slopes, paid for parking that we didn’t need to We also had make sure that the apartment was left as found inc all towels in wash bags and cutlery and cups and glasses placed back to their original location Why were we charged £100 for cleaning if we had to do most of it yourself The toilet was way too high and hard to use, it also didn’t flush properly. Shower was great Internet left a lot to be desired and kept dropping. I sent the owner a direct message asking if it needed rebooting and was totally ignored. I also sent a direct message letting them know that there was a burn mark on the worktop before we arrived and received a ‘yes I know’ response. That was it I feel this apartment had lots of potential but don’t feel the owners care too much about the rental side. It’s perfectly located and very close to the slopes book with above in mind
