Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

For the price you really can not complain. It's clean, has a bathroom and even a balcony view.

Wi-Fi is not good. Our shower head need to be changed.

A great stay at Hotel Trocadero! I stayed at the hotel from the 24th to the 28th, and my experience was excellent. The location is perfect—close to the train station and with easy access to the city center and the beach. The room was clean and comfortable, making my stay very enjoyable. One of the things I appreciated the most was the housekeeping service. The room was cleaned daily, and fresh towels were provided regularly, which made the experience even better. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable hotel in a great location in Nice, Hotel Trocadero is a perfect choice. I would definitely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Room could have had more amenities, I think adding a mini fridge would be reasonable. Some noise from the street below, but not too bad.
Amazing location is the biggest selling point. Right next to the train station, 1 stop away from the Airport. Short train ride to any Azure coast city. Tram and bus stations right around the corner as well, dozens of different places to eat and get takeout. Room was good. Decent size, very comfy bed. Nice shower in the bathroom.

An electric kettle and some cups to make early morning coffee/ evening tea would be nice to have in the rooms.
We stayed at a quadruple family room and it was spacious enough for 4 people, clean and warm. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The hotel is close to the main train station Nice-ville which was perfect for our trips round the French Riviera. At the same time it was in a safe area with a lot of shops and places to eat around.

About as close to the train station as you could get. Very friendly efficient staff. Well maintained small hotel room nothing wrong with it.

Room 105 was small with two single beds and a cupboard-space of a shower / toilet, but fine for what we needed as an overnight stay. Space in the room was tight, but still usable

The only thing I didn’t like was that there wasn’t a kettle in the room, and we only got one towel each. Also, two duvets instead of one would’ve been much better.
The hotel was great for the price. The room was clean, and the bathroom had towels, soap, and shower gel. The heating worked really well, so it was nice and cozy. It’s close to the train station and not far from the city center.

Nothing. It should be noted that the elevator didn't work and there are quite a few floors in the hotel. So, if you have problems with the stairs, make sure to get updated info from the hotel before booking.
Clean and comfortable hotel in a very good location near the railway station. The room and the area were very quiet at night.

We didn't have breakfast as we were told it was one pastry per person and cereal for €8. There was no shampoo or shower gel in the rooms.
Very central, 2mins from the train station. A couple of minutes walk from tram or Luas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back and would recommend.

The location was amazing, near the train station and shopping street. The value for money took me by surprise. The room were comfortable and spacious, with a big and clean bathroom. Very friendly staff as well.

Very small bed and there was not refrigerator, were not glasses in the room to drink something. The wall was very thin, we could hear everything from the neighbor room.
The location was perfect! Close to the train station.
