We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United KingdomWe had a wonderful stay. The cottage had everything we needed and was clean and spacious. It was great to have an outside patio area for breakfast and lunch and the swimming pool was a real bonus. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. Having breakfast delivered each morning was a lovely touch and really appreciated. It wasn't far to walk down to the town, although a bit of a climb on the way back. The town was really pretty with lots of restaurants. Much nicer than Avignon! We also found a restaurant only 5 minutes away which was very goo. We would definitely recommend and hope to come again.

United KingdomThe pool could be a little warmer, advertised as a heated pool, but it was still freezing.
Great location, a good find. Worked well for our family. Breakfast delivered each morning was delicious, and provided with the option to top up on orange juice, yoghurts etc the night before. Made to feel very welcome.

United KingdomThe place is too small if lots of children there. The bed is very hard and I'd prefer a proper door on the bathroom (but this is personal preference).
The hotel was beautiful, the owners who live there are a family and they are really lovely and welcoming.. The little dog who also lives there is very sweet and a wonderful addition to the time we spent there. You are given a fresh breakfast everyday, and they always ask if you need anything else.

SwitzerlandBreakfast brought to door of the room. However, the second morning re-stocking of orange juice and yoghurts was not done, though the host mentioned to check fridge during the day.
Ideal to visit Avignon and quite close to use public transport to town as parking in Avignon can be a nightmare. very private environment; beautiful pool site (towels offered). Local secured parking available.

United StatesImpeccable stay. Host was very accommodating to our every needs. The surrounding house, garden foliage, and attention to detail was flawless. Host made us feel as if we were a guest in his own house. Very intimate environment, I would recommend a definite stay around one of the most beautiful towns in all of Provence. A true French flavor. Merci beaucoup!

Very relaxing environment and a perfect location for exploring the region. The fresh bread and pastries delivered every day were the cherry on the top. Strongly recommended.

It was a little hard to find at first but it is in a quiet location with a beautiful swimming pool and garden. The town is a medieval town just across the river from Avignon. We used the BBQ one night for dinner and found two very good restaurants in the town on the other nights.

United KingdomLoved the location, hidden from all noise, nestled in the middle of a forest on the hilltop. 5-1 min walk from Villeneuve and its bars and restaurant, less touristy than Avignon. Great pool, perfect for an afternoon splash, the BBQ is fantastic and the bar is there for a glass of rosé. The hosts are welcoming and helpful, the rooms are clean and practical perfect for a couple of days stay.

FranceIt was definitely perfect for me.
Really nice, safe and big property. There are a few rooms (4 houses overall) and it gives a more intimate experience. We've spent 3 nights starting May 26th and we've booked 3 houses at all for 9 persons. Mine was for 3 persons and it was definitely big enough for all of us. Well decorated, nice bathroom, small but functional kitchen, really nice terrace where we spent our first and last evening and where we took our breakfast. Talking about breakfast that was a really nice experience, the owner brought us bread, butter, yoghurt, jam, cereals, French pastries and even fresh eggs (the last day) every morning and it was extremely good. We have access to the pool, an outdoor area where we can eat (with an open kitchen). We can as well visit the small farm in the property (the fresh eggs came from there). The owner has a small dog, he's kind and playful and we really appreciate seeing him around. You can park your car in the property as well. The neighbourhood is safe and the city centre is close to the house (10 minutes walk). We unfortunately did not visit the area because we came for a wedding but I'll of course come back and I highly recommend this place.

SwitzerlandEven before our arrival, I was certain that this accommodation would be something special. Even so, this gorgeous place wound up exceeding my expectations. The villa is nestled in a hilly natural setting, but still within convenient walking distance from Villeneuve's city center and restaurants. The space is thought out with the satisfaction of its customers in mind and Thierry, the owner, is the cordial face to put to this delightful establishment. He greeted and walked us through the entire space and set the mood for what was to be a relaxing and friendly atmosphere within its grounds. The thoughtful details, which Thierry carried out for us, like the daily "goodie bag" he left each morning for us for breakfast, with croissants, bread, and pain au chocolat, refilling our fridge with yogurt, fresh juice, and milk while we were away or inviting us to collect fresh eggs from his hen houses, went a long way in our appreciation for his hospitality. Our lodging was charmingly decorated and practically organized to fit everything we needed for our stay, without compromising its spaciousness. Together with the serene garden and alluring pool, the entire place exudes tranquility, privacy, harmony, and a picturesque tastefulness that is very hard to rip yourself from at the end. On top of everything, we had lots of fun with Puce, the small jack russel terrier, who was an energetic and entertaining presence at the pool, clearly communicating he wanted us to play with him. Our entire experience here left an indelible impression on us and we will definitely come back.

United KingdomThe Villa is up a narrow road and on first approach we were slightly worried, but it is fine, the road is very quiet, we have a normal sized car but guests with Range Rovers and other big cars managed ok as well.
We had a great 8 night stay here. The apartment is very well set up, with TV, fridge, hob, dishwasher, microwave, separate bedroom (nice big bed) and bathroom. Also excellent air conditioning which really works (the weather is really hot in this part of France) in both bedroom and living room. Space outside with table, chairs and drying rack. Wonderfully quiet, no noise from traffic or neighbours. Towels provided, including towels for swimming pool. The swimming pool is lovely, with lots of loungers around for relaxing. Thierry the host is very kind and welcoming, every day he leaves a bag on the door with delicious bread and pastries for breakfast. Orange juice, tea, coffee, yoghurt are also provided in the room. Thierry’s boss is also very nice, he circles the pool keeping an eye on you while you swim and sometimes appears outside your door, which would be weird if he were a human but he is a dog, so that’s ok: Oreo, a little terrier, very sweet. Another advantage of this property are the free parking spaces, which are inside the electric gates, so secure, and close to the apartment so no dragging luggage up any stairs. The Villa is in a beautiful town Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, across the river from Avignon. You can walk from the Villa to the centre of Villeneuve-lez-Avignon where there are lots of restaurants in the main square and nearby streets. There are also things to see here, for us the views from the Fort St André were a highlight, again you can walk there from the Villa. For sightseeing in Avignon, you can drive down to the banks of the river and park in a free carpark and then walk across the bridge and the Palais des Papes is close by. The Villa is also a great base for trips to nearby towns like Uzes, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, Remy en Provence, Arles, Nimes….

United StatesI hate to say anything negative, but the bed is really too hard and the sofa bed (which my son had to sleep on) is a rock! The pillows are super uncomfortable too. My daughter used a towel for her pillow! ):
We loved the location and our room and patio. The common area with use of the pool was relaxing and enjoyable. The best part was the fresh croissants and French bread each morning! Everything was lovely and my daughter said this one one of her favorite places to stay on our 4 week vacation to Italy and France.

United StatesI have no complaints because we were fortunate there were no other guests for the first two days of our visit. But just good to know is the apartments and terraces are right next to each other (though beautifully landscaped for a sense of separation.) A family with children came on our last night, and naturally, they were very excited to be there and play in the pool. It just would have been a different experience if they’d been there with us the whole time. So that’s just something to note in case you require guaranteed tranquility!
Everything was as shown in the photos and descriptions, plus more delights! It’s a stunning property in an upscale neighborhood within an easy 10-minute stroll into the historic yet non-touristic village center. Our family of four enjoyed the gorgeous pool a couple times during our 3-night stay, and our little terrace every morning and night to eat, drink, and relax. We fell in love with the host’s hilarious Jack Russell Terrier Orion, and the breakfast items delivered each morning were such a treat!
