“The design of the hotel 🏨 is deplorable. Once inside, it is somewhat less offensive. Arriving at reception, I find a tatty haired young man with a badge saying Luigi. I greet him with the words 'Bore da' he answers ' Hello' I expain to him that the words Bore mean morning or day and da means hood. I say I would like breakfast, he pushes the cars machine towards me, I produce a £20 note from my purse he says they only take card payment. I explain that it is the law that he accepts my money, as it is the legal currency of this country. Hecstill refuses.”
