Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe reception is in a separate building. This might make the solo female traveller a little nervous on safety grounds. Lots of steps so you need to be fit.
For a basic overnight it was fine. Good location. Very quiet. Comfortable bed and decent shower. Very clean. Bag store post check out. Really good value for London.

BelgiumThe toilet is mounted in such a way that unless you're vertically-challenged, you can't get your knees between the toilet and the wall and have to sit on the toilet slightly sideways.
Brilliant location - very close to St Pancras / King's Cross. If you like visiting cities by walking, both the Strand and Trafalgar Square are half an hour or so from the hotel, whereas if you need the Tube, it's a three-minute walk.

United KingdomThe basin/sink in the bathroom was not draining! It was small and could only quickly wash your hands but anything else - and the water stayed there. Needs unblocking before each guest! Shower was ok. The room was really cold at night - yes it was a cold January day, but on such days heating should not go off at around 10pm as it did - there is huge single glazed window and on a cold night it was cold, slightly warmer in the morning but radiator was lukewarm, not full on even at max. Tiny bathroom but for the price didn't expect bigger so that's not a real complaint. Reception is in a different building, which may an issue for some.
Good location away from the noise far end of the square. Good quality bedlinen and choice of pillow sizes in the room as well as both duvet and blanket. Good size kettle.

SpainThe bed was bad, two people don't fit unless one of them lays in the side of the bed, and therefore risking falling down.

United KingdomThere was no hot water in the morning for a shower. Since I had to leave super early, there was no opportunity to raise this: I just had to go for an invigorating ablution. At least it had me wide awake in no time!

United KingdomIt didn’t bother me but the room was on the ground floor looking directly onto the street, so there was quite a lot of noise from 5am in the morning.
A comfortable, clean room where everything worked. For a budget hotel in the centre of London I was more than satisfied. I got it at a good price too compared to the local competition.

United StatesPlease remember to note the address as there is no signage outside the door to mark this as a hotel.
Can't beat the location, so close to King's Cross/St Pancras stations! Very basic room, which was what we expected when we booked it; good shower, comfy beds, clean -- hit all the marks. Please do note you will have to pick up the key from a nearby small hotel: there is nobody here to check you in (I missed that message from Booking.com and we were very confused initially). There is a kettle with tea and coffee in the room, which was much appreciated!

LatviaProblems with Wi-fi, some evening there where none. A bit cold room. Would be nice to have new shower head. Light sensor in wc a bit annoying, it was turning off after 2-3 minutes, needed to wave around in shower to get lights.
Location is just perfect. 3 min walk to Kings cross st pancras station and metro. In station shops. Some good places in walkable distance. Comfortable bed and I have a nice warm sleep. Option to store luggage after check-out. Cleaning each day.
