Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very small issue: my wife tore her pants on a nail that was sticking out a bit on the stairs.
Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Good location, nice and clean property with most things you might want for a short stay, including a fully stocked kitchen, all toiletries, and the stuff you need for kids.

Lovely little 3 bedroom house with garden in Sway. Clean and modern inside. Walkable to a playground, small co-op and a pub next door (we didn’t use the pub but it looked lovely). We hired bikes nearby and went cycling with the kids on easy tracks in the New Forest. Parking is on the street outside or opposite near shops which was fine. Fabulous stay.

Just make sure you close the dishwasher door firmly. I thought I'd put it on the night before we left. I only realised my .mistake the next morning and so the cycle hadn't finish by the time we left. Sorry!
We had a lovely, relaxing stay here. The house was light, airy and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well-equipped and even had a few basics for cooking (oil condiments etc). The beds were comfortable and there was a good shower. Lovely, quiet location with a great pub nearby serving good food.. We would definitely return. Highly recommend.

Could have done with a bigger frying pan!
The house was really easy to find and in a great location next to a lovely pub and across the road from a handy Co-op. Very easy walk to the train station. Good to have allocated parking but there was street parking too. Beautiful house, really clean and comfortable. Everything you need for a comfortable stay.

A bigger and possibly more in depth welcome folder to help you orientate yourself at the start of your stay other than that we could fault this little gem .
clean and tidy .It had all that was needed for three friends to stay in without getting in each others way . Don't be put off by the pub next door we never even noticed it (running the new forest marathon so never used the pub).

We had to go home!
We had a family stay- cation: my sister and 2 teenagers in July. Sway is a lovely place, small and safe, 2 pubs, a Co-op, butcher and a train station. The playground is excellent and the ponies are v easy to find on the outskirts of the village, over the cattle grid. The owners were very easy to contact, had kept the house well maintained and very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped for family meals and we enjoyed the garden to eat and hangout. A great situation for 15 drive to the coast, the New Forest, any number of villages and country pubs.

Modern digital TV to ensure kids are occupied if it does rain.

We loved staying in John and Lesley's little cottage! Recently renovated and really comfortable, it had everything we needed, including a Nespresso machine:)

Although, I was able to park my car in the car park of a closed shop, just opposite, I’m not sure how easy the car space would be to find or navigate to. However, the hosts had offered to show me where it was on the day I arrived.
Everything was perfect. Although, we didn’t really cook, if we had wanted to prepare a meal, there was an extremely well equipped kitchen. Toiletries, including, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were provided, which was a nice touch. Communication between the host and ourselves was extremely good. We had a lovely meal at the pub which is right next door. I was a little concerned about the noise but patrons were told to go inside at 10, so it was very quiet. A very enjoyable stay.
