Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There were 16 of us – 9 children and 6 adults. The host was extremely kind and helpful – everything was perfectly arranged! He allowed us to leave our things earlier, provided full support, and gave us lots of useful tips. Highly recommended for groups!

The house was very big and clean and the host was very nice, helpful and welcoming. You have in the house everything you need, and it takes about 25 minutes to the center of London with the metro. The beds were comfortable, you have towels in each room, you have a coffee machine, microwave and stove and also you have a very nice garden.

Good sized rooms and beds, nice kitchen space and outside garden. Both bathrooms have great equipment and clean. Overall, amazing house if you are traveling with many people with great amenities and is close to the supermarket.

Andy, the host, was very good and keeping in contact and has been very flexible. It's a great place to stay if you are a team of people working in London for a few days especially if you are working at the Excel centre- uou can get a Uber there a few minutes. Very clean and well equipped.

Nothing at all
First of all, Andy was keen to make us satisfied even before our stay. He contacted us to arrange everything and explain all the details of the property clearly. The house was very, very clean and tidy. Everything was available. The location of the house is very good with many nearby shops and stations. Andy responded quickly whenever we needed him. It was my first time time in London and it was an amazing experience. Thanks Andy.

The host was very friendly and flexible in accommodating my team and me. The apartment was very clean and communication was proactive and timely. The apartment was well equipped with anything we could think of. I can strongly recommend this apartment if you need to visit a conference at the ExCeL.

The House is great. Great transport connection. Tesco opposite the street.Everyday devices and accesories avaliable at the house. The relaxing area at the back is amazing, we could rest and spend time together in fresh air. Andy is a very nice man, helpful and kind. He takes care of his guests. We had a wonderful surprise at the arrival:)❤️

Modern, bright, comfortable set up

Beautiful house in excellent location that is close to central London, with public transport links (bus/underground) on doorstep. It takes 25 or 30 minutes to centre London with good connection. Air conditioning works well and kitchen, living room and bedrooms are well designed for larger groups. Host Andy is really great

House is suitable for family or business travellers. Each bedroom has TV, comfortable bed, soft bedding and towels. Kitchen has all facilities, including stove, microwave and coffee machine. Living room has nice seating arrangement for larger group. Garden is gorgeous

Clean and big house. Garden with lots of sun and extra chairs available. Both bathrooms are very good. Beds are comfortable. Andy offered us price reduction which was an extra bonus. Plenty parking

Sunny Garden perfect to sit, eat or even make your own BBQ/ grill. Quiet rooms that are very spacious and have comfortable beds. Very convenient public transport taking you directly to central London. Andy is great owner. We will be back

House is big. Very good set up for 16 guests. Bathrooms have plenty toiletries and towels. Beds are comfortable with spare pillows and blankets. Very close to central London and near Excel. Flexible self check in with entry code. Kitchen is fully stocked with tea, coffee and even hot chocolate. Garden is sunny and good to have lunch outdoors.
