Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceIf I may suggest any improvements, it would be to upgrade the quality of the bedding. The mattress was quite firm, which can be uncomfortable for side sleepers like myself. Also, providing a sponge for washing up would be appreciated (or we couldn't find one during our stay).
The pods are ideally located, offering stunning views and serene quietness. I absolutely love everything about this place. This is my second time staying in the pod, and hopefully not the last ! Both times, we were very fortunate to have the most beautiful winter sunny days, making it my favorite time to visit Assynt/Coigach.

United KingdomNothing at all in fact it was the best stay of our whole trip.
Great communication with the hosts, well equipped and comfortable one night stay as part of our NC500 trip. A way off the NC500 route (about 40 mins each way) but well worth it. Quirky walk down to the pods from the car park with wheelbarrows of our stuff!

GermanyI was a bit confused when arriving because the pictures kinda showed these sleeping pods and i thought these were for the hostel and another couple told me they had the same experience. But when you book a bed in the dorm room you will be sleeping in the main house. Also the shower and toilet are separate so you have to go outside. (And fight off some insects in the toilet)
Its an interesting hostel right in the nature. I loved the location. It's kinda hard to get there since there's nothing around but it's really unique. There's a pretty kitchen and the shower is really nice.

GermanyWe stayed in one of the very coosy wooden tiny houses which have a kitchenette and own bath. Perfect even for 3 adults. Stunning location in midst of nature. Nice social contacts in the communal kitchen, which is part of the hostel.

United KingdomCould maybe do with putting a little railing at the front porch of pods as quite a steep drop and a little precarious in the dark and rain! Only a minor suggestion - great stay.
Beautifully clean and well equipped pods, beds super comfortable. Heating switched on when we arrived. Lovely views over coast. Perfect for exploring the area and getting cozy and dry after a long day.

Czech RepublicI search for places to stay with no or limited wifi or with wifi & phones confined to designated areas only & NOT the bedrooms, & no routers near bedroom walls, as I am sensitive to the radiation. So although I found the whole hostel comfy & lovely, I had difficulty sleeping through the buzzing/burning sensations due to the wifi. I hope independent rural hostels will offer wifi-free places or areas, so we can experience nature-before-digitech as we used to.
The view from front door & windows was lovely - you can watch the dawn over a vista of distant mountains, islands and sea. The wifi was very good /strong signal

United KingdomAlthough we loved the location, the walk to the pods with the wheelbarrows was hard work. We didn’t make it easy by arriving late when it was dark and wet but the path could potentially be made easier to walk down.
The location was greet, out in the middle of nowhere, very private. The pods are very cute and well maintained. Perfect for a cosy little stay.

United KingdomThe pods don't have loads of kitchenware or a hob so it's clearly expected that you'll cook in the communal kitchen, which feels very 'hostely' for £120 a night.
This is an amazing location which truly feels like getting away from it all. We loved the walks right from the hostel down to the beach and along the coastline. The pod was comfortable and clean and Ruth provided an air cooler as soon as we arrived (it had been a hot day) which was great. The communal kitchen is clean and well equipped.

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing
It's not an exaggeration to stay that the location of this gorgeous hostel is among the best in the world. In addition to the natural beauty and rawness of the place, the pod also far-exceeded our expectations. It was incredibly clean, well-equipped and cosy, and the shower, hot. Tea & coffee were provided, which was a lovely touch...we brought milk and everything else we needed with us. Ruth was lovely, striking just the right balance between discreet and available. We stayed for two nights, and I would definitely recommended this, as a minimum, to really appreciate the location. The Summer Isles hotel served really exceptional food at very reasonable prices...definition book! An unforgettable experience in every way. We would love to return.

United KingdomThe midgies, but Ruth can't do anything about that!
The camping pod was fully equipped with everything we needed. Beds, although firm, were very comfortable. Ruth was a star, showing us where everything was and checking that we had everything. She gave us marshmallows for our firepit, what a star. The views were stunning, and it was lovely to be away from everything.
