Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesReally small room, and narrow stairways which make it tough to manage luggage, but what do you expect for this price?
Convenient location walking distance from Kings X. Simple room, but has been thoughtfully remodeled. Our room was quiet and comfortable. If you want a cheap place to stay in London, you could do much worse.

United KingdomThe room was quite small- but I had expected that. The bed was a little uncomfortable. It was a warm night so I left the window open- bad idea as it was quite noisey outside!!
It was easy to find, staffed and clean.

GermanyThe mattress was a bit old and the windows didn't close completely, which was fine as the weather was good. Might be different during winter.
The staff was very helpful and nice. I was able to leave my luggage before Check-in. The room was small but enough for a 2 night stay. The location is perfect, 3 minutes walk to King's Cross. The bathroom was modern and clean.

Closeness to King's Cross Station. Lady on reception changed our room to ground floor as we had large, heavy cases.

United KingdomRoom was very small, very noisy at night, the area the hotel’s in is a bit untidy, everywhere outside smelt of weed, no air con and the room was very hot, the staff, whilst friendly couldn’t help us with our questions about local transport routes so we had to ‘go it alone’.
Proximity to the tube station and local businesses. The price was very good for London but you get what you pay for!

United KingdomThere is a park across the road, which during the day was heaving with drunks and homeless. Hence, at first, I thought dodgy. Although they were not there in the evening.
As a lone female traveller, at first, it seemed a bit dodgy. Nevertheless, there were staff there when I arrived back late for a Sunday. The single bed room was very cosy and secure. The bathroom is super tiny, yet I'm petite, so that was fine, and the shower was good. Bonus, it was very close to Kings Cross.

CanadaJust being honest about my experience, that doesn’t mean it would be yours. There are many positive reviews here. But….the walls are very thin and I happened to have bad neighbours who were up all night and slept all day. They were very shady, I could hear every word they said plus the heavy door in the hall way and heavy door of the room kept slamming all night as they went up and down the stairs. The staff were very responsive and asked them to leave shortly after I made them aware of the situation. I slept great on my last night, as they were gone. The experience did have an impact on my holiday as I had to nap each day because I was up all night from the noise. I’ve definitely been doing some rethinking in the value i put on accommodations when travelling. I’m usually one opt to spend the extra money elsewhere, but I was just too tired to do anything anyway. The room was hot, and had no airflow. So I had to sleep with the patio doors open. I didn’t feel entirely safe as a woman travelling alone doing that given the shadiness of my neighbours who could access my patio from theirs. Also, the heavy curtains block the air flow, so the curtains had to be open, which resulted in no privacy from the people in the public park just across the road. The shower temperature can’t be controlled. It was very hot. Combined with outdoor temps of nearly 30 Celsius and no air conditioning, there was literally no relief from the heat. The bed was clean, but the walls were dirty. It was a small room, but that’s what you get when you’re in London.
Great location, comfortable and clean bed, friendly and responsive staff, I was able to check in early.
