Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaLovely little cabin. Five minute walk from the train station with regular services into Glasgow (around a 20 minute journey). Not a lot of food options nearby so you will either need to drive or self cater - there are a few cooking utensils available but you might need to get a bit creative! There are a couple of bar stools available to sit at though it would be a very tight fit for two — a small table and chair or somewhere to sit and eat would be a great addition for future stays. Host is wonderful and gladly provides you with many sightseeing tips and suggestions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My second visit to Auchenlea Lodges. A lovely warm welcome, spotlessly clean, well equipped accommodation with everything you could possibly need, and more. Ideally situated on the outskirts of Glasgow with excellent transport links into the city centre. Amazing value for money. Look forward to returning.

United KingdomJust 10 minutes away from the city centre, the lodge gives some cozy and rustic village vibes! The room is neat and spacious and it has everything you need for a short stay. The couple who runs the place is warm and friendly. You can park right in front of the lodge and they have enough parking space for all.

United StatesIf there's any way to seal the room from outside noise, that would be better. The person staying in the lodge next to me got up really early, like 6:00 a.m., and made a bunch of noise, and you heard a lot of outside noises as well, so sleep was interrupted. I was able to go back to sleep, but a peaceful night's rest would have been better. Also, there are animals on the property, so if you're not an early rise, look elsewhere. :-) But if you normal get up between 7:00 a.m. and 8 a.m., you're good to go and the place is charming.
Very cute place. Owners are VERY nice. Cute little place to come back to after a day or night sightseeing. Train station is only a five minute walk away.

CanadaWe didn't have a chance to meet the hosts as we were in the cottage and didn't stay in the main bed and breakfast at the house.
It was a very cute clean cottage, with a nice outdoor sitting area. We met a nice couple also from Canada and shared some wine together.

United KingdomOnly two very minor niggles, one just a personal thing. TV reception was lousy, owner reset the aerial once, but it was very blowy and I guess it blew over again. Not sure there was anything to be done. It's a very long time since I shared a room with a ticking clock, made getting to sleep the first night a bit of a challenge, but I adjusted.
Lovely little lodge with everything you need. Short walk to a shop, railway station and leisure park with cinema and restaurants. Comfy bed, very decent shower. Problem with wifi when I got there, but sorted out promptly by the very obliging owners and wifi was excellent afterward.
