Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandIt’s an old building in need of modernisation.
Very good location, close to the tube and practically surrounded by convenient shops, supermarkets, restaurants etc. Convenient shops still open when I came back late from a concert. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very reasonable price.

United KingdomThe bed was very basic and not very comfortable. The room was too hot. I would have liked a towel to be provided.
It was clean, well organised, value for money and nicely located near to Earls Court underground station.

AustriaThe room is rather cold. There was an electric heater though which heated quite well when turned on. Due to poor insulation, however, it gets chilly quite fast (review from February). The toilet is very cold.
The location of the property is excellent. Just 5 walking minutes from the Earls Court Underground Station which is still in zone 1. The private shower in our double room The breakfast was nice. There was bread, jam, nutella, fruits, musli, and some other baked goods.

United KingdomIt was adequately clean but quite worn in places and the communal bathrooms were a bit smelly (plumbing issues). In a private room it would have been nice to have a toilet at least but it wasn’t a huge issue.
It was conveniently located and a decent price for a private room. It was quiet enough and had the facilities needed.

SpainOnly minor complaint would be the mattress being a bit thin and springy.
The private double room was perfect for a few nights. It had a lot of storage space, it was very clean and also had a decent TV. The hostel itself was cool and free breakfast appreciated. Staff were nice and let us keep our bags at the place the day we left.

PortugalIt was suggested before, but curtains for the middle and lower bunks for privacy would be nice, just a barrier for people who are still sleeping to be less disturbed by the other guests who have to wake up early to check-out or arrive late to the room. The middle and top bunks require a bit of mobility to reach, so they might not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Other than that, nothing to add.
A great place to stay for solo travelers. Earl's Court tube station with access to the "center" of London is 5 minutes walking from the property, there's a Tesco's grocery shop 1 minute away and plenty of places to eat nearby even if the hostel has a nicely equipped kitchen for guests to cook in. The street and the hostel itself was pretty quiet, the room and bathroom was clean, the bathroom garbage bin was cleaned often. The shower worked well. The bed mattress and pillow are memory foam, so it might take some getting used to for some, you must make your own bed upon arrival. Like most British houses, there was heating in the room via a radiator we could regulate if needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite decent, at least two different kinds of bread for making toasts (white and seeded), a few choices of spreads (apricot, strawberry, honey, Nutella and butter), milk and cereal (cornflakes or muesli) and fruit, tea and coffee. Breakfast runs from 7-7:30 am to 9:30 am. Plenty of touristic places to visit close to the hostel without the need of public transportation: the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum and Harrods are all within walking distances, (Harrods being 30 mins away by foot, much less if you take a bus or the tube). Hyde Park is also close.

Double room, bed was so comfortable but it could be because we’d traveled all day. We stayed one night and it was perfect. Staff let us leave our luggage in the office while we explored the city. The room was cold during the day, but a space heater helped and it was warm enough at night. We saw no other travelers while we were there.
